I am pretty sure most people know this and it serves for many stores not just Disney. Although we usually get tickets on Undercover Tourist, another way to save is to purchase Disney Gift Cards at Sam's which are at a discounted rate and then take them to a Disney store and purchase your tickets. My son saved quite a bit when he purchased his Annual tickets doing this. It works for most stores for example I needed a new dishwasher and Stples had a deal on Lowes GC 90 for 100. The dishwaher was 900.00 we got 1000.00 worth of gc for 900 and this covered the tax too. Had enough left over to get a gallon of paint for my exterior doors. I am pretty sure most people know this trick but for those who do not it is an easy way to save some money.

Thanks so much for posting! I don't mess with the drudgery that is the umpteen thousand page threads that this info would have been posted on so I wasn't aware of it. We're about to have to buy 8 five day tickets so this will save us a huge chunk of change.

GREAT!! Now if you have the cash to back up the purchase and you purchase with your Sam's credit card it saves even more. Be sure to buy the 75.00 pack or at least compare the packs because they are not all equal and I think the 75.00 gives you the greatest value but do the math on all of them to maximize.

It also pays to shop around for type of ticket as well. A couple years ago I looked at 6 days tickets- both the one day per park tickets and hoppers. I priced out Disney (using GC's purchased using the Target Red Card), UT, and AAA. For the Hopper AAA had the best price but for the one day per park getting them through Disney using the 5% was better. UT was very close but a couple dollars more in both cases.

Buy gift cards from Target you get 5% off with your RedCard.
If you have an Amex card, right now there is a spend $200 get $25 statement credit at Sam's Club.

Tons of great info and hacks on those super long threads.

Just wondering, anyone buy the 10 day non-expiring? They of course have been discontinued but that was the best deal b/c each time the prices went up I could sit there with a smile on my face and think about how much money I was saving. I wish I had purchased more. We got 20 days worth which was pricey at the time but now we still are working off those tickets. The last year they were available, we got the park hopper too and I wish I had the foresight to have purchased more. The initial outlay was a lot but the savings benefits overtime more than made up for it.

I have a couple of those. I also have a stash of tickets that pre-date MYW and they are no expiry as well. Some have one or two days left. Others have just water park admission. I even have two paper tickets, that have one day left on each of them, which go back to a time when Epcot was only a couple of years old.

Last year, I upgraded 3 MYW tickets (bought from UT before Disney introduced expiration dates for tickets) to DVC gold APs and paid for the upgrade with Disney GCs that I got by following the GC Deals thread. Those vouchers are just waiting to be activated at some point in the future. There have been two AP price increases since then but the vouchers are locked in. I won’t have to pay anything to activate them no matter how far into the future that is.

I love it ! I feel like it was an investment for those of us who like to go to the park every year .....with a better return that the stock market. LOL
Just wondering, my mother had a ticket book that was 30 yrs old and unused. She came to the parks when my son was little and got sick and could not actually use it. I wonder if they would give anything for it...it was non expiring. I bet I am not the first one to have this I think I will try, thanks for reminding me.

That’s surprising. Did you factor in that UT price includes taxes?

I love UT and as a matter of fact when we got ours, it was b/c they had some at the old price, they always alert people to a price increase too. It is just sad that WDW is approaching the point where they are going to be cost prohibitive for many people. I can see paying to park if you are not a guest of the hotel but having to pay a nightly fee to park when you are staying at the hotel is just one more way to up the nightly cost and any way that visitors can save is a plus in my book.

I have read on here that all the old non expiring tickets can still be used. You would have to go to guest services
