one-way car rental, mco-wdw?

If I remember correctly, when National was the "official" WDW car rental agency you could pick up a car at the airport and drop it off at WDW, for free or maybe only a slight charge. Is it still possible to do this with Alamo as the official car rental company? Anyone have any helpful suggestions?

Hi there... according to the alamo site, you can pick up your car at MCO (Orlando airport) and drop if off at either the Dolphin or the Disney Car Center. Not sure how much or a surcharge, but at least it possible and we will probably do this in August..

Thanks, WCMouse. I just checked the Alamo site. I'm renting a compact car, picking up at MCO at 11pm and dropping off at the car care center at WDW before noon the next day. Total cost, incl. taxes and fees, is $27. Way better than having DSis get the two nieces up and into their van (they arrive four days earlier than we do) to pick us up at that hour!

I checked with Alamo on tuesday and they quoted me a charge of $55 for 1 day with a $25 sur charge for dropping off the car at the Dolphin

I just checked my reservation confirmation and it clearly shows that I'm picking up the compact car at the airport and dropping it off the next day at the Disney car care center, with no mention of a drop-off charge. I did make the ressie using the Disney VISA cardholder rate code and associate ID. Maybe that explains the difference? I'm going with the printed confirmation, which they are legally required to honor. I have a Disney VISA, which I will use to pay for the rental. I found the codes at www.mousesavers.com

I just booked budget and am renting from 10-29 to Nov 1 pick up at MCO and drop off at the DoubleTree on Hotel Plaza Blvd. total with taxes 111.40 .. Not too bad I thought. Michelle
