Pricelines website says this can be done, but I can't figure out how. I want to rent from Sanford airport and return to Tampa. Does anyone know how to rent one way from them???? TIA

Yup!

Start your rental though Priceline's regular car rental screen (NOT the name your own price) and enter in all your dates/times and airports. When the list of full price cars comes up just click on "name your own price" (in the upper right, I think) and then you can name your own price for your one-way trip. I did this between MCO and TPA last year :).

Hope the OP doesn't mind me asking a question about Priceline. I've never rented through Priceline and was wondering if everyone that rented through Priceline has been happy, had problems, got the vehicle you wanted, etc? Any comments are welcome!! TIA!!

Op here. I use PL several times a year for car rentals and hotels and it saves me tons of money. The only downside is that you should be absolutely sure of your plans. PL is a final tranaction. No refunds or changes allowed. Check out betterbidding.com for a guide on how to best use PL to get a great deal.

I have also rented from Priceline a few times and I never had a problem *except* you have to stand in line instead of just going straight to the car. My advice is to start bidding at 40% off of Hotwire's price for the size of car you want, ignore the messages that are telling you that you are bidding too low and DO NOT bid on an Economy car expecting an automatic upgrade. Some places don't have Econ cars on the lot and others do and will charge you A LOT to upgrade to a car that will fit your family.

Can you do this from Sanford and drop off in Disney area? I can only get it to go from airport to airport :goodvibes

Yes, you can book a minivan.

Sorry, you can only name your own price for pick up and drop off at airports.

Thanks for answering about the minivan but according to your next statement I'm not going to be able to utilize Priceline for a rental anyway. I need to rent at MCO and drop off in Cape Canaveral! Oh well...

We rented a minivan through priceline from 6/12/-6/19. My bid was accepted for $20 each day plus tax. It was through National and the minivan was in great shape and top of the line. Decided I needed to add one day, called National one day prior and total with ins. was $54 for the extra day.

Good luck and have a wonderful vacation.
