One TS left -- The Plaza on MVMCP night or Sci-Fi Drive In (on a different night)?

So, since we've decided we're going to pay for CRT oop, we've ended up with an extra TS to use. Here are a couple of options I'm considering.

We are attending MVMCP on December 6. I have a 5:55 reservation at the Plaza as an option for our "extra" ts. I guess I'm wondering if this is a good place to be right before the party starts? Is my reservation too late? Will we be able to see anything if the party gets started before we are done?
I looked at the pictures of the inside on allears.net and it looks so pretty in there, I think my DD's (3 and 6) would like it. This will also be our last evening in the World and it seems like a nice way to wind down our vacation.

Second option: Sci-Fi Drive In. I never really looked into this place in all these months of planning (8 months now!!) because of the word "sci-fi." I just figured my girly girls wouldn't care for it. But now that I see it, it looks like so much fun! Right now, there is nothing available for the date we are there (December 4) but I've been checking back daily.

So, which would you do out of those two options? Also, are our chances good of getting into Sci-Fi as a walk up? It's on a Fantasmic! day if that makes a difference.

Help me decide how to use our last TS! Thanks!

i would do the plaza simply because you are in MK before the party starts. you should have plenty of time to see/do everything you would like.

We are doing a 4:15 at the Plaza the night of the party. We ate at the Plaza for the first time this past June and loved our meal there. I think all the CS will be crazy busy so I think it will be nice to enjoy a nice TS meal before the party, then we can fill ourselves silly with treats.

We like both places, but I would probably pick the Sci Fi.

Ooooh...that's a hard one as we love both. We've been doing The Plaza for the last four or five trips as our "last" meal of our trip as something not so "heavy" after all the other meals we've eaten on the dining plan while there. We did Sci-Fi last month for the first time in probably 10 or 11 years and had a really good meal...and onion rings to die for. In this instance, I'm going to say Sci Fi so that you can enjoy your meal and have, perhaps, the onion rings and one of the delicious shakes. If you eat at The Plaza, you might get too full and won't be able to nibble on the candy. You can't go wrong with either choice.

Definitely Sci-Fi. My girls love it, and it's fun and we like the food.

Plaza.. eh. We tried it last trip and were really disappointed in the food. Nothing exciting about it at all, could have just ate at a counter service for a burger or chicken sandwich.
At least Sci Fi is more entertaining and is unique and kids will get a kick out of it!

Do you think we'll have enough time? I am sort of worried that we'll be sitting there eating while all the fun is going on...

You and I think alike! I was going to do Cosmic Rays, but with a 3yo and a 6yo, I want the comfort of a TS meal.


Thanks to everyone for your responses, although you've confirmed that I have a difficult decision! I am going to keep the Plaza one for now, I think. We'll probably try Sci-Fi as a walk up, and if we get in, I'll take it as a sign we should pay OOP for it. How's that for logic?

We love the Plaza!! I would think an hour would be plenty of time to eat there unless they are backed up seating.

While I love the Plaza I would not want to eat that late, I would want to do a TS for lunch or a very early dinner (around 4) and then grab CS later if we were hungry

Sci Fi is an awesome place to eat, we have had lunch there twice and the ambiance is worth the trip
