One TIme Use Points question

I understand they cannot be refunded, banked or borrowed once booked - however, can they be applied to a waitlist? For example - if I call & book a night with them for one resort, can I then waitlist another resort (with the same or fewer points) for the same night? Or can they only be used for the exact resort you book them for? Thanks!

Yes, you can waitlist for something else and have them replace that existing reservation (using the same OTU points) when the waitlist comes through.

Since OTU points can only be used to book something during the 7 month window,the resort doesn't matter. (Probably one of the reasons DVC chose not to offer the service during the 11 month window - then they WOULD have to keep track of the home resort).

Did you already buy them and canceled the reservation to which they were applied?

You can't buy OTU points on spec, and you can't set up a wait list to buy the necessary points if it goes through. So, unless there's some extenuating circumstance that has left you with OTU points, No, you can't use them "towards a waitlist."
