One Time Use Points before contract points?

Hi all,

So we are planning something big in 2024 (end of 2023 use-year). Scoping it out, with banking/borrowing, it's going to take a lot of points, and leave me with *juuuust* not enough THIS use-year to do anything useful with. In the interest of insuring things go off without a hitch at THAT time, I was thinking of getting on-time points THIS year for our plans in the fall.

Can I contact member services and buy one-time points even if I'm not using up all my use-year points? Or do they only allow that if I'm "all out" and need a little extra? I would prefer using the 24 one-time points and BANKING my actual use-year points. Will they let me do that? Has anyone done something like that?

Thanks

With the caveat (that I always forget) that OTUPs don't get any home resort booking advantage and can only be used at 7 months.

So if you have 2 use years can you buy 24 points for each one letting you bank 24 more points for both use years?

Yes, because the limit is per membership, and two use years means two memberships.
