One Time Point Mistake

When we purchased our guide told us that DVC allows a "one time mistake," (of course like the much debated 5 to a 1 br, this isn't in writing), so I wa wondering, does DVC truly allow you to make a mistake? Is it only on banking past your deadline, or can you use it to get points back that you have exchanged for a Disney Resort? Or, does it not exist?

I have only heard of this in the context of a one time banking exception, though I have never confirmed it with Disney nor have I seen it in any of the literature (not that I read it line for line). I have never heard it being used to get points back for an exchange.

I have gotten back banked points to use for the DCL. I have also made mor than one "mistake".
