One time add-on through Disney considered "transfer"?

Hi! For our trip this year, I am planning on adding on 17 points through DVC one-time add-on option. If I do this, will it count as a transfer? I know we only are allowed one transfer a year and I'd like to still have the option to transfer more points in from another member. If it's not possible to do both, I'll just try to rent points, but I like the idea of transferring. I've never done either! Thanks!!

The purchase of One-Time-Use Vacation Points is not considered a transfer.

Nope, it is not a transfer. It is considered a purchase. I think you pay tax on it too.
