One time activation code and MDE??

I was looking at my profile on MDE and I see an option to link to my DVC membership. ((Has anybody done this and is it really worth it to do?))

So I clicked the link to connect them and I see it wanted my one time activation code... really???? That was from how many years ago. How many of you have kept the 'one time' activation code.... you know the code you think you'd need once then toss out?

Does DVC keep copies of old codes or will a new one be supplied that will work to link? Anybody do this?
