Our annual pass was about to expire and we are not renewing next year, so on a whim I decided to skip work and take my 4 yr old son to EPCOT (it was just his birthday). I've taken our older son by himself a few times, so now it was the 4 yr olds turn. We've been a total of 25 days this past year, and so he has ridden everything multiple times. This time, I planned to take it easy and not be in rush mode. The weather was fantastic, starting around 58 in the AM, and getting into the low 70s just after noon. Crowd levels were low.

We got through the ticket gate at EPCOT about 9:05 with no wait. Got to Soarin and it said 20 minutes wait. I asked the CM if it was accurate, and he said NO, it was more like 5. OK?? Anyway, walked onto Soarin and there was even a row of seats empty. Next, we rode the new Nemo ride. Virtually no one was there, yet you still have to go through one of the longest que lines ever. Seems longer than Space Mountain. Walked over and rode Figment Imagination ride. No one was around. We were the only two on the ride at the time.

We skipped HISTA and went over to Test Track. That too was a walk on, and we rode it 2 times in a row. Being too little for MS, my son decided we should go to see the dinosaurs - and we hit Elen's Energy Encounter right when the doors were opening. Does anyone still boycot this ride because Ellen is gay? Remember the flak from that? Glad Disney stood its ground. Heck, if they were to eliminate gays from the park, all the live shows would have to shut down.

It was now 11:15 and WS was open. It seemed like we had it all to ourselves. We rode Maelestrom then watched the train display for 10 minutes or so. Had a nice lunch in Morocco. Continued our way around WS and tried some sodas at Club Cool.

It was now about 1:00 and we boarded the monorail for MK. We got to ride up front from EPCOT to the TTA. As far as my DS4 is concerned, that was the best ride of the day. The only thing that could have topped that was if we'd taken the parking lot tram. :)

MK is a bit more crowded than EPCOT, but I expected as much. I was pleasently surprised when we arrived at Buzz and it was a walk on. Rode that twice, then rode the people mover. Next we rode Astro Orbiter in which we waited 10 minutes - our only wait for the day. We headed over to Fantasyland. I stopped at the shop next to the Pooh ride looking for a replacement straw with Pooh Bear on it for the one we'd accidently melted in the dishwasher. Unfortunately, they did not have any like it. Next we watched Philharmagic and then walked onto IASW. The clock was just striking 3:00 as we were getting into the boat.

Next, DS4 wanted to ride Pirates. The 3:00 parade (which starts at 3:00, BTW :) ) was just finsihed, so there was a large crowd heading towards Jungle Cruise and Pirates. We got behind what looked like a group of 50+ teenage girls (maybe from Brazil??) all heading to Pirates. But we were in luck - they did not want to split up, so all took the left entrance. We, of course, took the right and had zero wait. (I'm getting old). After that we climed the SFR treehouse.

We started back toward the exit, but stopped at Caseys for a hot dog and watched the 4:00 Family parade go by. Then I hit all the shops on Main Street looking for that Pooh Bear straw. Took the monorail back to EPCOT and THEN my DS4 wanted to go one Spaceship Earth (he does NOT call it the big ball). So we quickly go through security and the ticket gate and ride SE. Thus concludes a wonderful day at the World.
