It is now 7 months from Spring Break. I would expect the high call volume to be partially due to everyone trying to get reservations for then.

You would think that seeing that is 'Magic Season' and 'Premier Season' people would have played it safe and booked at their home resort, 11 months out.

They probably did book at the their home resorts....now it's time for everyone to "switch".

I am guilty of the ploy Pam describe. I book at my home resort at 11 months and then try for my choice at 7 months.

The more I hang around these boards the more I begin to realize that DVC is actualy a multi deminsional game....the more you play (read 'stay') the more strategies you pick up.
