One thing that puzzles me about the MYW plus options

I know the plus options you can chose from are the water parks, PI or the Sports complex. If you ever booked a ressie using Disney Travel, they would give you one ticket for each member of your family to use for either the Sports or mini-golf. I wonder why they don't include the golf as one of the plus options you can pick from. I know golf isn't as expensive as the water parks, but it is the same price as admission to the sports complex. We had a great time playing on the Winterland course in 2002 and plan to do Summerland this time. I definitely would of used this as an option if I could. There is only so much time you can spend in the water!

I've never been to the mini-golf complexes, but I would imagine they're not as expansive as the water parks, and/or DisneyQuest.

Once Disney has you in those venues (I mean the water parks and DisneyQuest - or even in Pleasure Island for that matter), you are captive to spend much more money purchasing souvenirs, food, beverages, and at the water parks - various other sundries like sunscreen, water toys, towels, bathing suits, film, photos from the photo op people, and so much more.

If they let you into the golf areas - at most you'd buy a hot dog and a drink.

I also think the reason there is no golf is capacity. Can you imagine if an additional 500 people showed up for mini-golf each day (and that might be a conservative number)! They'd have to start doing Tee Times!

If I remember correctly the mini-golf was included in room packages. If they added the mini-golf to a room only they could technically call it a package.

You can buy more than that there- he's talking about miniature golf. Last time we went it was added free to our room and we had a blast! It's something we probably wouldn't have done had it not been free. (and they had other things there you could buy)

I was kinda wondering why they didn't have that on there as a "plus option". I think it's actually less expensive per person than some of the other choices- so they'd save money if they had that on there and you used a plus for miniature golf instead of say DisneyQuest or a water park. I guess no more freebie mini-golf and it's not on the plus options either. Strange.

Since the sports complex costs the same as the mini golf and they used to give you a choice on the 'room only' package since each had the same value, it would of made sense to me to still include the mini golf.
It would of been really convenient to do as well since Winterland/Summerland is right next to Blizzard Beach.

The problem is not the price point... it is the size of the Miniature Golf facilities, which have smaller capacities. Could you imagine the lines to play one 18 hole round of miniature golf? Bring your umbrella, a chair and a book... it could be a mighty long wait!
