is somewhere for a crawling baby to crawl. Like a small grassy area. My 1yo isn't walking yet, and gets a little stir-crazy being carried or in the stroller all day.

Is there anything like this that I missed? I know Goofy's house has a play area, but I don't think that would work, with all the older kids running around.

Innoventions has some big open spaces (and usually very few people in there) and there's also the annimation building at DCA.

Good thinking! We were in the animation building the other day, but the drawing show had just let out, so it was really crowded.

I didn't even think of Innoventions - DH and I jokingly call it The Rotunda of Commercials. :lmao:

That would be great if that had one, never thought of that. What about in DCA in Playhouse Disney if you sit in the very back, it's carpeted and everyone wants to sit up front and close.

That really is a need. I was upset that the babycare center didn't have a babyzone. :( and there isn't anywhere that's "park like" :( I do understand that it would be overrun with people and next to impossible to upkeap, but still. Lol
I don't want to let DGD on the floor at innoventions, gross! that's like crawling around the hotel floor. Oh Well :)

I know what you mean - I didn't let DD crawl on the floor at the hotel either!

One thing I wish DLR had is DR. PEPPER! :goodvibes

I wish Disneyland had a portal to Australia so we didn't have to pay thousands in airfares to get there

I remember taking my 1 year old to the parks here in Australia and wishing he had been able to crawl around too. Is that little boat park still at DCA?

No, the boat area is currently in rehab, well I should say it's gone so they can retheme that side of the park.

I know what you mean about the floors. Is there a grassy spot somewhere at the GCH? I've walked around the hotel some but can't remember if there is a patch of grass. I know there is a tiny bit outside storytellers but not sure if it's enough. Oh, we used to go to the outdoor fireplace at the GCH (it's on the other side of the one in the lobby) and there might have been some grass near there. This was several years ago so i can't remember for sure.

That's been roaming around in my head since I first read your post...DS and other bigger children, I've noticed, are prevented from running around in there, because of all the little babies crawling.

So I think maybe we are going on opposite days. :)

Semi-feral cats and tiny little mice along with duck poop...I would prefer hotel or Innoventions carpet over what might be in any grassy areas! :scared:

The pre-show waiting area for Muppets is pretty wide open and mostly empty...the few people waiting are usually seated.
Is your baby holding onto things walking around? If so, the big "hubcap" fountain has a long surface they can hold onto and scoot along. The "Toontown Park" would also work great, it is a small circular seating area, kind of shaded, and always pretty empty. It is right before you get to Goofy's house.

ITA! I would let a baby crawl around on carpet alot easier than public grass!
