I bought myself some plain Mickey Ears from World of Disney on the 3rd last day of our trip. I wanted to get them embroidered inside Disney before going home.
Unfortunately I forgot to bring them to the park on the 2nd last day of our trip, but luckily remembered on the last day, which was after all of our bags were packed and we had checked out of our hotel.
I took them to the embroidery place and was asked for my receipt. I explained to them that I didn't have it, as I'd purchased them 2 days before, and the receipt was amongst our stuff, in 1 of 4 possible bags. But no go, they wouldn't embroider them for me without the receipt...
Now I sort of understand why they want the receipt, because people could just pick up hats from the embroidery place and say that they've already paid for them, but in this instance, the lady behind the embroidery counter watched me come into the store, and pull my mickey ears out of my bag...

So just a heads up to any one who wants to get their ears embroidered, make sure you have your receipt with you! I spose it would be just bad luck if you brought a pair that you'd bought previously, or if someone gave you a gift of the ears - like I've done in this instance as well...
On the up side, I did speak to a lovely man at another store in Disneyland that does embroidery (for a price) and he let me pay to get them done. The embroidery almost cost the same as the ears, but that's ok, coz I just wanted them done.
