DB (boyfriend... I haven't seen that abbreviation anywhere around here so just thought I'd clarify ;) are going Nov. 10-17. My parents are Disney nuts (and I didn't fall far from that tree!) so I am fairly experienced with the parks. However, I've always done it on their tab!

DB and I are trying to go as low-budget as possible, but we would like to do one nice meal somewhere.
So... where should we go?
We are both pretty adventurous eaters (except he doesn't like sushi) so we are up for almost anything.

I'm considering Jiko at AKL, Hoop-de-Doo at Poly, Rose and Crown at Epcot (DB loooooves British Imports!)

We're also going to do Priority seating at one of the restaurants for Fantasmic, but I'm not counting that as our nice meal.

Jiko is adventurous, but my choice would be Artist Point at WL. The Pacific Northwest menu is wonderful ... I really enjoy the cedar plank roasted salmon. The berry cobbler for dessert is the perfect end to a meal; and it ensures you will nearly literally roll out of the restaurant!

You may want to try posting on the restaurants board as well, there are tons of suggestions depending on what you're looking for. Like did you want to stay in the parks, or explore any hotels in particular? BOMA or Jiko, Ohana's all sound good. Epcot has some of my favorite restaurants. Good luck!

Hoop-de-Doo Musical Revue I believe is all you can eat and it was always my dad's favorite! Plus you get entertained at the same time! It's a lot of fun, but gets booked up early. One thing though, in your post you implied that the Hoop-de-Doo was at Poly, but I just wanted to clarify that it actually is at Fort Wilderness; wouldn't want you to miss your reservation if you go to the wrong place!

I thought HDDR was at Ft. Wilderness? I would either go with Ohana's at the Poly or Biergarten at Epcot.

For one really great meal..I would choose one of these three:

Jiko at AKL..fantastic
Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge..fantastic
Flying Fish at Boardwalk..fantastic...(both seafood and the steak is one of the best on disney property also)

For Rose and Crown..I would just head to the bar side for your boyfriend to get his fill of beer...the food is not very impressive.

oops, I meant Ft. Wilderness! We were thinking about 'Ohana at Poly also, so I must have gotten confused.

I think we are actually going to splurge and do a couple- 'Ohana (the pineapple and caramel sounds divine, and I really want to check out the resort!), Boma for breakfast one day (voucher!), and probably Artist Point one day.

I also bought some of the Q&C vouchers so we will be able to check out some of the yummy-sounding desserts at Beaches 'n Cream. Plus, I just like having some meals paid for in advance. The less I have to pay for when we are there, the better.

As a side note, I can't wait to try the beavertails in Canada either!

Thanks everyone for the suggestions! If I had my way, I'd probably eat at a different restaurant for all three meals. Plus snacks. :)

LovesDoomBuggies,

I like all the restaurants mentioned above. I live in Orlando, and when I take special friends and family to WDW for a real meal treat (I use any excuse to go), we go to California Grill for great food and (most nights of the year) top it off with the Wishes fireworks show over the MK. You can even see Tinker Bell's flight from the Castle, and the fireworks music is now piped in to the restaurant. It's an unforgettable experience for folks that don't get to WDW very often!
