One red, hot ear.

Why does this happen? Does it happen to anyone else?

My right ear is burning, my left ear is normal. I googled it a bit and some seem to think it's brought on by stress, lack of sleep, anxiety, "heavy thinking," and in some instances a rare disease.

It happens to me every once in a while (every few months or so ) and always seems to happen in the evening.

Anyone else?

That happens to me often, too. It's pretty obnoxious.

I had that once and my ear was also itchy. Seems it was a reaction to Vicidon that I was taking at the time. Do you take any pain meds?

I thought I was the only one with this! My DW calls my ears my Heat sinks! And it varies from right to left!

Nope, nothing except the occasional Tylenol or Ibuprophen, but none of those today.
