Are all entree items at each participating sit down restauarant included on this plan or are there exclusions?

I had not considered this plan until I received an e-mail PIN code yesterday & saw that the dining is part of the offer. I want to do some number crunching to see if this would be a good deal for us...5 adults, no children.

I apologize if this is one of those often asked questions but I really would appreciate any comments or thoughts that might help me decide. Thanks!

The way I understand it, the only places with surcharges on certain items are Planet Hollywood and Wolfgang Puck (as listed). I printed off the list and then checked our favorite places and added up the cost that way. We never get an appetizer and dessert at each meal!!! And only usually a couple times during the time we're there, so I am still debating as well.

We just got back from using the plan for a week (2 adults/2teens), and it is a tremendous bargain. Yes, you can choose from any entree on the menu. At some restaurants, servers were actually encouraging us to add additional items, such as shrimp to our basic steak order. (They get 15% of the total, so a larger check is in their best interest).

We figured we would have come out ahead even if we never used the counter service or snack credits at all!

One drawback to the plan is that you get more food than you want. After a couple of days, you start to get a little bloated. We had planned all of our table service restaurants for dinner, and most of our counter service for lunches, but if we do it again, we will mix table service dinner and lunch and use the counter services more for breakfast.

The other drawback with the plan is that you have so many PS that you end up having to schedule yourself around eating, which is another reason to use some table service credits for lunch, as lunches usually don't require PS.

But from a pure dollars and cents point of view, you can't argue that it is a huge bargain--when you're using it, it seems almost too good to be true. For the entire trip, we kept looking for a catch, but there realy was no problems!

Thanks, ceecee! That's what I thought but wanted to be sure.

We're in the same boat as you regarding the desserts & appetizers. It sounds like an awful lot of food per day so I'm really debating this.

Thank you! That's great feedback & I appreciate your reply. You've given me some more ideas on how to mix in the table service option. I was concerned about having so many PS's & having to be on an eating schedule. That's just not the way we like to do things at Disney. We really enjoy being more flexible. Having a late lunch (around 2:00) at CP works well for us so that would be a good way to do the table sevice at MK one day.

I would never have done the dining plan without the code because we don't usually eat table service, but with the code you are basically getting your food free! I spent a long time today crunching numbers and talking to reservationists and it is an amazing deal. We are staying at a value, so there is no way a discount code on room only will save more than having all of our food paid for.

It works out that my family of 6 will be getting room, tickets, and food for 7 nights for only $1800! I'm getting excited about actually going to all these wonderful resaurants and not stressing over the cost of everything I buy!

I'm staying at an All Stars on the dining plan and I'll be carrying my pack with me (it has extending handle and wheels so won't be on my back all the time) and I'm carrying plastic utensils, paper plates, and small boxes that fold flat so I can order dessert to go at these great restaurants. Going in December so not much worry of things "melting" in my backpack late in the day (won't be packing ice cream though LOL)! Then my son and I can split the dessert later in the evening or even in the morning!
