So this could possibly be one of the most strewn-together-last-minute-fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants PTRs ever. I’m leaving on Sunday for a 6 night stay at the Boardwalk with my mom and aunt. The best part is NO HUSBANDS or KIDS (not that I have either).

Hi, I’m Dana, a 24 year old trying to make it in NYC. I’ve been hearing about the DIS from my mom for years, she’s the pro here and figured I’d give it a shot. My mom is Andrea, 50….soon to be 51 (and maybe ready to shoot me!) and the reason for this trip. My aunt is Maresa and just recently 50.

During the bleak and cold northeast winter I thought it would be a good idea to sign up both myself and DM (Disney mom?) to get into the parks free on our birthdays. Well mine came and went back in May, but we still had hope for September. And the stars aligned and my mother’s sister bequeathed unto us DVC points

As the plotting and scheming ensued to get this trip together we had a Guinness moment of “Brilliant!”, in which we decided to invite Maresa along with us.

The best part about this for her is that it is her 1st vacation ever without her husband or kids

congratulations on graduating! i'm assuming from Ohio State by the pic of you and your mom.

so i guess this trip would be my delayed gift to myself, but it's also for my mom's birthday. as its ALL about her this is the schedule (food wise) she put together for us

sunday - to be determined
monday - lunch (earl of sandwich), dinner (lapu lapu's at the Poly)
tues - dinner (ESPN)
weds - lunch (la catina), dinner (rose & crown)
thurs - lulnch (WPE)
fri - breakfast (Boma), lunch (Artist's Palette), dinner (California Grill)

any suggestions for other meals?

so it is vacation eve and operation get ready for disney has commenced. the obligatory phone call to my aunt was made, suit cases were brought down from the attic, and the washing machine is rolling in full force making sure enough clean clothes are available (a girl needs options!)

my mom and i went shopping for the last minute stuff, which included dual manicures and pedicures

our flight is at 2 o'clock tomorrow out of Atlantic City, NJ. what possessed us to think it would be a good idea to drive on the Garden State Parkway southbound in the middle of the day on Labor Day weekend?! hopefully the traffic will part like the red sea and not delay our trip

a new edition was made the schedule! we are going to Raglan Road one night to celebrate my aunt's bday (it was last sunday). and i figured the gift i'd give to myself is HMcH (hottie mchotness, thanks DISMoms gone wild!!!)

packing is now done and the only thing left for tonight is to have some ice cream (cause they're wont be enough yummy desserts in WDW )

the only thing left to do in the morning is pack my straightener after i singe the frizz out of my hair, my toothbrush for obvious reasons, and my running shorts that are still drying

my mom and i are checking one large bag on the airplane and both bringing carry-ons. we finished packing and had extra room left in all 3
