One of our own was banned, and we would like some clarifications.

Too many points, even if it's just for profanity, can result in a ban, though.

60 points - 10 day ban
80 points - 1 month ban
100 points - Permanent ban

Negative. Said poster informed me the last time they'd recieved points was from two years prior. They would've expired by now, per the guideines.

I can't tell you the amount of times I've cursed, but it's always been filtered. & Like Jenny said, Hazzi's been here long enough to know not to mess with the filter.

I always thought points expired though Like I have 0 points in one infraction, & 10 in the other. They're both expired. So if in the next 6 months I got random 10 point infractions, I could be banned for 10 days?

Most points expire in either 15 or 30 days.

I am also curious as to why she was banned. All I know is that she said things jokingly, on other people's profiles,(mine included) and I'm curious as to whether mods thought that she was being seroius..?

Interestingly enough, I looked at my profile this morning and saw that a good amount of my comments were removed by a mod.

To clarify: I am in no way criticizing the action of a moderator or webmaster. I think they do a good job. We would just like some clarification.

No. I've received my fair share of points in the 5 years I've been posting. If having 100 points accumulated means automatic ban, whether they expired or not, I would've been banned a long time ago.

Your better off emailing Webmaster Kathy. Pete's been very busy and Kevin's father just passed away so he may be busy consoling the family and stuff.

I just remember about that after he said that because I remember Pete posting that on Facebook last night...
There extremely busy right now with that going on right now, there trying to keep information up to date etc...

I never come in this subforum (obviously, I'm not a teen), but the thread title interested me from the main forum.

I have found in many cases the "rules" are more like "guidelines" then actual rules and the owners tend to turn a blind eye on things for certain people or subjects, but then hold to the direct letter of the rule on others.

I do not know the circumstances involved in the situation, but I will agree with others that the forum is very wishy-washy on this.

i love this site and respect all the mods. and webmasters rules. i never argue with them because they are doing this on there own time.
but why this?
i too would like an explanation and mabye some closeure.
