We will be arriving in 2 weeks for a split stay at BC/Poly. We are now able to leave a day earlier than planned and need to make arrangements for one extra night. I realize POR is not in the same class as the others but we were considering seeing Yeeha Bob's show that night depending on kids moods as they are 1.5 and 4. Half of me wants to stay somewhere less expensive (WL/POR) because its only one night so even if its bad we can leave the next day, the other half wants to stay at the most expensive because its only one night that we are paying the crazy high price (GF/CR) and we have never stayed there. I think I have narrowed it down but am open to other suggestions as well.

I would do POR and book a Royal Room, if available. We did one night there pre-cruise the first year the Royal Rooms opened and the room was ADORABLE. I think your kids would really enjoy the fireworks on the headboard and the little touches in the room. Plus, you'll have Yeeha Bob or even the boat ride to DS if you are up to it. We stay deluxe almost all the time and I, personally, would not pick GF or CR for one night. You never get a full 24 hours in the room, so it just wouldn't be worth it to me. Especially CR where the only real perk is being able to walk to MK, so if you aren't going there, CR just isn't worth it IMHO. I would leave GF for a time when you could stay a few nights and enjoy the resort. And WL is under construction, so I wouldn't stay there either.

One extra night is so fun! I would try a resort I hadn't stayed at, pick something fun, then consider cost and go cheapest option that fits my interest. For those reasons (and that you are already staying at the Poly, so don't really need an MK area resort), I would probably try POR. WL as another great choice. It has a very different feel than Poly and Beach Club, and you could spend time at the Fort.

In ur situation I'd choose port Orleans riverside. Take advantage of a beautiful resort, boat to Disney springs... perhaps even exit at POFQ to take some cute pix of kids at the Mardi gras statues near outside pool/bar area.or a lawn movie, Grab a yummy snack etc.
See if Bobs show is at POR, grab a table up front so kids can "see" best and enjoy the interactions.
Enjoy wherever u decide!

Thanks everyone sounds like POR is the front runner as we have already explored the other 3 at least a bit on prior trips but have never been to POR. I am hooked on The Poly so we almost always stay there.
