I need one night for the start of our trip. We land at MCO at 9pm, and likely our heads won't hit the pillow until 11 or so after getting our bags and the car so we really just need a place to sleep.
We were booked at Allstar Movies for the night, but I realized Pop Warner will be there at the same time. So $167 for the night, just to move to Wilderness Lodge in the morning, and possibly having to deal with noise and a crowded food court for breakfast seemed like a bad plan.

Ideally I want to spend less than $100 for the night, and be close to Disney. We'll get up early, eat a quick breakfast and be at a park for rope drop. We'll leave our suitcases in the trunk and head to WL to check in on our afternoon break.

Any recommendations? I need clean, and close to Disney. Other than that I am open. Amenities won't matter. I just want clean and safe.
With that being said for DTD I am finding the best price for Best Western Lake Buena Vista. It's about $90.
Does anyone else have somewhere they would recommend for the night?:)

Getting in that late, maybe look into an airport hotel just to crash? I stayed at the Renaissance at the airport a couple of years ago, and it was really nice.

Otherwise, maybe the Marriott Village hotels? The Springhill Suites and Fairfield Inn have free breakfast.

Good luck!

PS: or if you're feeling like it, close to the date check priceline?

why get a rental car?

you can put that towards the hotel and still stay at All Stars - Disney will move you - so your luggage should be safe - just make sure that you have things you will or might need - sunscreen, drugs (OTC & P), swimming suites, etc

now if you must have a rental car - how well do you know the area around Disney. if well - then US192 (530) - you might find a walk in - even late at night.

or on International drive south

if you give up the rental car - might stay at one of the airport hotels - they will pick you up and return you the next day - so you can ride DME (if you want too)

We will be renting a car. We usually do to go from Disney to Universal. We also really like not having to leave an hour or more early to get to an ADR on time. We enjoy the convenience.
I had though of just staying by the airport and it's a good idea. We are staying at the airport Hyatt our last night. I think this time though I'd like to be nice and close so we can get up early, grab a quick bite, and head to a park.
I don't want to do an Allstar for two reasons.. one being Pop Warner will be there, and two, even with a discount it would be over $160 for the night. I just don't want to pay that for 8 hours of sleep.

Has anyone stayed at the Clarion right by DTD? I can get that for about $60. And then like I mentioned earlier there is the Best Western LBV right in DTD for about $90 with the resort fee. Clean and safe and close to the parks is all I need for one night.:)

We do offsite pre-package often. Have stayed at Hampton Inn Lake Buena Vista many times. Rates tend to be good, nice hotel, comfy beds and close to DTD to get to our check-in early. Breakfast included.

Have done DTD hotels a few times but always make sure you check for the "resort fee" and parking fees, that sometimes negates the price value.

Thank you. I looked at the Hampton Inn you mentioned and for $111 with taxes it looks good:). It includes the free breakfast in that rate, so I wouldn't need to pay for breakfast on top of the hotel we pick. That makes it come in quite a bit better than any of the other ones I was looking at. And the reviews are stellar!
How far of a drive would we have in the morning to be at Epcot for rope drop? I am hoping under 15 minutes. If so, I will book it.:)

I second staying at the Marriott Village properties if you can get a good rate. I've got one now for Feb for $79/nt

stay at LBV BW - if that is the one you mean - it is old - but very nice.
-loved it - got a theme park view for only $10 more.
but not sure if it is worth $90 a night.

have not stayed in a Clarion in a long time and then the one of US 192 in Kissimmee - not the one in Orlando/LBV.

they were more expensive. but $60 a night sounds like a great deal - when are you going?

Mousesavers lists a special rate at the Buena Vista Suites of $99 for your dates. That includes a buffet breakfast, parking and internet are both free, and there's no resort fee. Its very close to DTD :) .

This would be the winner! I am having trouble with the reservations page though.. it won't let me add the kids with the Mousesavers code filled in. Maybe I should call today.
Thanks Gina. This saves me $60 over an Allstar, still has me nice and close for the morning AND has free breakfast before we hit the parks. Perfect!:cool1:

Had it wrong! I was still checking the Best Western LBV. I see this one has to be booked by phone. I'll call today:)
