One Night in Bangor, Maine

We are heading up to the University of Maine in Orono and will be staying in the area for one night only. We would like to eat at a real good seafood restaurant. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks.

maybe you should go up and just ask the locals where they go for good seafood? it seems more failsafe that way!

we went up there for our sons graduation.....they do make awesome clams....my favorite.....

I called my very good friend who lives in Bangor -- always eat where the locals eat!! She recommends..Captain Nick's Seafood restaurant on Union Street. She recommends The Captain's Shore Dinner Special (?)....She knows many people who eat at The Atlantic Seafood and Grill near the Bangor Mall (She doesn't know the address) She has not eaten there, but has seen specials in the paper.... Good luck!!

DH says he likes "The Brew Pub". They have seafood there. I wouldn't know...he doesn't take ME.

HMMMMMMMM.......... The WeatherVane tends to have lots of fried foods......... Captain Nick's is probably a better choice...... I'm trying to think of somewhere else that has great seafood..... McLaughlin's has a little take out shack that is supposed to have a fantastic lobster roll....... The Muddy Rudder across the river in Brewer has pretty good food and a deck overlooking the river.....

I doubt you'll need a reservation- they have an old train car that is fixed up with booths in it.... that's kind of fun to sit in (my kids like it anyway! )
