We're getting set for another weeklong stay at WDW, but our first night arrival isn't until after 7pm, so we plan on staying off site for one night. I've searched the web, but am getting a bad case of INFORMATION OVERLOAD:scared1:

So I turn to my trusted Diser friends. Can anyone suggest a clean, SAFE, inexpensive (under 80?) off site hotel, with a pool that is open late into the evening? I'd rank pool being open late high on the list, since I'm pretty sure we'll want to unwind with a swim after we arrive, probably 8 or 9pm.

Any help would be appreciated!!!:thumbsup2

When we arrive late at MCO, I priceline a 3 1/2* hotel near the airport, often getting the Marriott. In the am we shuttle back to the airport for ME or our rental car.

we do a "room only" for our first night at stay at POP. This way you can take advantage of ME. I pack a separate overnight bag, so I don't have to open the "other" luggage. It works for us. :goodvibes

:goodvibes Hey neighbor... guess who??

My first thought was that you might check out the DTD hotel deals for that night. Then I thought of the Marriott Village hotels (SpringHill Suites etc.) right over by SR-535 and Vineland Ave area. Free breakfast there too. A stone's throw from property so you could drop your stuff at WL early the next day.

P.S. Sorry about airline near-fiasco. I swear my advice is usually better than that. Of course, my DH was thrilled you picked Jetblue.

I'll check em out! BTW, did hubby tell you I hit the 'big time' with a podcast shoutout? It comes in the first 10 minutes of this weeks round table discussion. Oh, and I too loved my K-Tel records-20 greatest hits by 20 great stars. :woohoo:

Teavelzoo.com has had a special for Doubletree Castle for $49 that you might want to check out. It's close to WDW and there are a lot of restaurants close by if you want to get something to eat.

We usually stay at the Hyatt in MCO for 1 nt stays. You can get it cheap on Hotwire. It's the only 4* in the MCO area that has a Tripadvisor.com rating of 4.5/5. This is how you know it's the Hyatt.
We love it for late arrivals. It's just a few steps away from the security line and they'll even fetch your baggage and bring to your room for like $10.
There's a pool on the roof, open til 11 pm.

We use www.betterbidding.com to ID any hotel in a HW search. I prefer HW to PL cuz I can ID all the possible hotels before comitting.

I will have to look at the Hyatt on hotwire because that sounds fantastic for a late night flight with little kids!
