Hi friends. My parents have an abundance of DVC points and are gifting us one night at Saratoga Springs on December 30. They retired to Celebration and don't use their points as much, so we will be staying at their house for about a week over the holidays and our one-night stay is in the middle of our trip. They are watching our daughter for my husband and I to have a night away. Score!

Any recommendations for a whirlwind one night stay at Saratoga? We don't have park tickets for this trip so will just be hanging around the resort and Disney Springs. What would you do?? I'm hoping it'll be warm enough for the pool but I know during December it's a crap shoot.

Thanks! <3

Check out the pool area and of course walk or take the boat to Disney springs. Disney springs has so much to offer now I rarely miss it on any trip.

If I had one day and no park tickets I would resort hop, with maybe a good lunch ADR somewhere fun.

I too would spend some time resort hopping to see the Christmas decorations. Then I would come back to SSR, rest a bit and then head out to DS for a nice evening, dinner, some bar hopping etc.
Enjoy

The Boathouse is popular.
I like Morimoto. Try the amazing ribs. You can also get them as an appetizer.

If you get a preferred room and request Congress park the quiet pool there is right on the waterfront with a view of Disney Springs. It’s a very short walk across the bridge to Disney Springs. When you come across the bridge there is the Marketplace Dock on the right. Take a boat ride to Port Orleans Riverside. There, you can stroll the beautifully landscaped resort and even take a horse and carriage ride around the beautiful resort.
Also, from that Marketplace dock you can take a water taxi to the West Side dock, and then The Landings Dock to get to other parts of Disney Springs in style!

MK will have NYE fireworks on the 30th and 31st (with perimeter and the island fireworks)
I’d give very strong consideration to taking the bus to MK, then take the ferry to TTC and watching the MK fireworks from the TTC (unless you could score an ADR at a monorail hotel)

Wow that is a fantastic idea!! I didn't realize MK would show their NYE fireworks on the 30th. Thank you!!
