We are going on the Disney Fantasy on November.

We want to stay at a Disney Hotel (Or other) after the cruise for one night before flying home.

We are currently debating on
Art-of-Animation - (New hotel but basic pools for the kids to keep busy)
Caribbean Beach - Pool with water slides and splash areas
Port Orleans (FQ or RS) - Pools with water slides - boat to Downtown (Been a few times)

Any other ideas that wont break the bank?

You mention you have stayed at the PO ... but my question would be have you stayed at the PO French Quarter since the remodel. This might be a plus. We really like this hotel and especially like the boat ride to downtown Disney. Depending on whether or not that is a draw may influence your decision.

The Art of Animation is a new property so it might be fun to stay there. Keep in mind, though, since it is new ... it may be a bit busier. But it is always fun to stay someplace new.

The Carribean Beach is not my favorite but a nice hotel.

I think either of these options would work for you. The Art of Animation has smaller beds so depending on who you are traveling with that might make a difference. The PO FQ now has queen beds. For us, we really like the PO FQ .. there is just something about the cobblestones ... and the proximity to Riverside (where the piano man is at nights) .. plus the boat. Overall a nice atmosphere. And, we like the carriage rides that you can take.

Out of your choices, we've only stayed at CBR and we loved it and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. With that said, the WL is a great deluxe that's close to MK, but is quite a bit cheaper than the monorail or Epcot resorts. Another deluxe option on the less expensive side is AKL, which is a beautiful resort and is comparably priced to WL. It's also kind of secluded if you were planning on spending most of your time at the resort rather than going to a park. Good luck.

We stayed one night at POR post cruise and it worked out well. We had our cruise transfer take us to the airport, then we picked up ME. We got to the resort by 10am and had no problems checking in. We chose POR because of the multiple pools and the boat to DTD and both worked out well. We just wanted to lounge by the pool until we went to dinner at DTD so the quiet pool was great for us. We decided against POFQ because it only has one pool and it is geared towards kids, IMO.

My son and i stayed at POR for two nights just before our cruise on the Dream this past May. It was our first time at this resort and we both loved it. We arrived at the resort before our room was ready so we checked our luggage at the front of the resort and took the boat to DTD for the day. The option of taking the boat to DTD instead of a bus is a huge pro for this resort. We requested a preferred location and paid a few extra bucks so we wouldnt be so far from the main building and i felt it was worth the money. After our cruise we were headed back to the airport but both of us wished we were headed back to POR for a few more days instead.

We spent the night at CBR after our cruise and really enjoyed it. I paid the extra for a room in Martinique. We spent the day at the pool, ate at the food court and watched the Epcot fireworks from the beach. It was a nice way to extend the tropical feel of our vacation.
