I am wondering what you think about renting a stroller in the part vs renting a stroller from one of the outside stroller companies. We are going on the cruise first, so I don't really want to bring mine from home. I feel like it would just be in the way in a small cabin.

We are staying at the Pop century, so I would have to fold the stroller for the bus, but it may be helpful to have around the resort. We are only going to be in the park for two days. The kids are 7 and 3. I figured the 3 year old would ride a lot and the 7 year old may need an occasional break.

This is my first trip to the parks. So any advice is appreciated. Also two umbrella strollers are out, since there is only one adult who can push the strollers. Thanks!

In you situation I would rent at the parks.........it will make the transportation part on Disney much easier for you, i.e. - buses, boats, monorail.

I would bring an umbrella or rent a single in the parks for the 3 y/o. The 7 y/o should not need it but if he/she did, just have the 3 y/o walk for a while while the 7 y/o rides. The doubles in the parks will set you back more than $30 for a single day.

My ds8 walked 9 straight days without needing a stroller (and he does have health issues that I thought would decrease his stamina) and my cousin's ds5 and ds9 walked the entire trip as well. My dd5 and cousin's dd4 shared a single umbrella stroller but most of the time I found myself pushing an empty stroller.

Thanks for the input, I was thinking that renting at the park would be easier, but I was not sure. I love the help from those who have been there done that! As a first timer you guys are a life saver!

Well, if it were me I'd bring an umbrella stroller like a Maclaren and then rent a double in the park on days that you think you need it. Not sure which parks you are hitting if you are only there 2 days but Epcot is one where a stroller is good for the older kids. You also might find you are doing LONG days since you only have 2 days and that may be tiring for the 7 year old. I know that I would want an umbrella stroller though for my 3 year old at the resort and also on the cruise ship (think about walking around during shore excursions)!
