Again thanks much to all who have been patiently answering all my probably oft repeated questions.
I went ahead, after taking many things into consideration, and called my guide and switched our Use Year back to December. I do play way ahead and am very good at planning, so it's unlikely I'll lose points; even with a May banking deadline.
So, apparently I get 2006 points. Does that mean they are the current year from December 2006 - November 2007? And then the banking deadline would be May 2007?
My sister wants to take her babysitter with us to Disneyland in January. (She's been with the family since my 14 year old niece was a baby and has never been there.) Our family will likely get a 2 bedroom suite, but that's not available with points. If she takes the babysitter, she'd need a separate room for her, so I was thinking of giving her points in exchange for us not paying her back for the part of the suite (we probably owe for about 3 years of that anyway). Can I use the points that I will be getting in December for that?
Finally, we want to go to France for our anniversary in 2008 (our main 2007 vacation is already paid for). I'm thinking of an II exchange, plus DLP for a few days. Is it too late for that? And, in 2008 would it be paid for with banked 06 points, current 2007 points and if necessary borrowed 2008 points? (Unless we go in December?).
In summary, it looks like a December Use Year means that for 11 months your current year is actually previous year?
Do I understand this? I like to think I'm pretty smart, but this confuses me.
Thank you!
Abby
