Does anyone have any guesses about what the one more disney day announcement could be about? Also does anyone know anything about what the promotion is about? My personal guess was that this is the promotion for next year but after seeing a teaser on youtube i am thinking this is something else entirely.

I'm thinking it'll be the 2012 promo *maybe free night with x number of days stayed. Doesn't matter to us as it's out of the price range anyway right now. :sad1:

On the Christmas Parade show they made a big deal about it being a leap year so there is an extra day then went right to talking about the promotion announcement so I am thinking it is going to be an "extra day" added to all ticket purchases and/or resort stays. Of course there will probably be a minimum length required.

I think it's going to be that the park will stay open overnight from Feb 28th, through Feb 29th and on to March 1st. Or something like that.

This is my opinion as well. Probably just MK (not all four parks) will remain open for the entire 24 hours of Feb. 29. If you are in the park on Feb. 28th and don't leave you can theoretically stay the whole next day for free.

I believe this will be the case for Disneyland Park too (but not Disney's California Adventure).

I agree with the thinking its something along the lines as an extra day in the parks. I know that I am wishy washy on it though, not sure 'how' it would fill the parks. If these boards and others like it are any indication, we most likely use it to our advantage of 'one more trip' since it would be something like the extra park day tickets. That would only work if you take the shorter trips though, 2/3 days as the longer you buy tickets for the less you pay. At the 7 day mark its a very small amount to add an extra day. But then others who don't want more than a trip would be still only go for the 5 or 7 days they had planned, IOW, pay for 6 but still go for 7. Hence, wdw not making any money on the plan.

Whatever it is, I am hoping that it is really something great. I am intrigued by all the guesses, and most of them make sense. Its a really well kept secret that I am dying to know at this point! I could imagine it being anything!

Will they email those on the list when the announcement is made or is dick Clark's rockin new years eve the only source 4 the announcement?

Also does anyone know what time they are making the announcement @
There's a countdown timer that shows you when it will be.

That seems like an awful lot of hype for something that so few people would actually take advantage of.

Think about it for a second. A lot of build up to announce one special day? A special day that will happen just 59 days after the announcement. A special day that would occur during spring break, which is a time when the park attendance is already up anyway. A single special day that is not likely to fill the resorts rooms with locals and not enough incentive to entice people to travel to Orlando to stay onsite.

I have a lot of confidence that this is not what this BIG announcement is about.

Totally agree.

If you are a Twitter user check out hashtag #Disney24 . You'll see I'm not alone in my thinking.

I've seen the speculation in this regard.

Just because other people seem to be of a similar opinion, that does not make any of them correct.

I think that it makes more sense that Disney will be adding "one more day" to tickets or stays for their 2012 promotion.

I missed it. What's the big news?

Nevermind, figured it out. Big whoopin' deal.

I just entered the contest already!!!
