I am having such a hard time deciding and I am hoping some vets can help me out. Originally we were going to stay in All Star Movies, but we weren't sure we would be comfortable with 2 adults, DD 13 and DD 10. We are staying for 10 nights. Some on here thought that we would be much happier in a moderate and we then decided maybe CS was for us. I also like POFQ, but don't like the idea of sharing the bus with POR and POR doesn't appeal to me. I looked at some of the pop pics and also like the fact that the refillable mugs there also cover hot chocolate and frozen cokes. I am not a coffee or tea type of person, but love hot chocolate. Plus the fact that it sounds as though the food choices are cheaper, better, etc at Everything Pop vs. the CS PepperMarket. I have also read some nice reviews here regarding Pop. I don't know if I should just stay with CS and enjoy the little extra room and extra ammenities or if I should consider spending extra money towards a second room at a value and be much more comfortable? There's definitely pros and cons for both. On the other hand, with older children, I'm not sure if we will be comfortable with the 4 of us in one value room.

I really like Pop, a matter of fact my wife likes pop too. She wants to try all the resorts and I guess I do too, personally I want to stay at WL (its a guy thing) again. But at this point Pop is my 2nd favorate resort. We love pool view too, I know its loud but we are from NYC originally and it allows us to sit outside with the patio furniture right outside your door, which is perfect when my daughter is sleeping. Personally I think all resorts are great but Pop I like especially at dinner time when they do that dance in the food court which is funny.

We also we're faced with the same decision. We're a family of five and because the little one was only 2 1/2 at the time we could have done one room at AKL or 2 connecting at POP. We chose 2 rooms at POP. It was really nice that the kids could have their own room, plus the extra bathroom was a plus. With our kids being younger, we were able to put them to bed and still be able to stay up and watch TV or read without disturbing them.
Another plus was having the extra drawer space and extra space for luggage and packages

Hi tinan,
I'm in a similar dilemma as you know. You gave me some great advice in my panicked :scared1: thread yesterday :) What we have booked (though we keep changing our minds, grrrr!!!) is 4 nights at All Stars and 8 nights at POFQ.

Something that was recommended to me was to consider buying an Annual Pass because the discounts can be amazing. I see you're staying 10 nights. how many days theme park tickets do you need? Let's say its 7 day ticket hopper (adult ticket). Well the Annual Pass works out about 200 dollars more than the 7 day ticket but I have heard the discounts with the AP are likely to add up to a lot more than that over the course of 10 nights. Perhaps that would take the sting out of paying for two rooms? Sorry I don't have a link but I read somewhere that last June the value resorts cost 59 dollars with the A.P. discount!! If anything like that comes out for this year it would make doing 2 connecting rooms a lot more viable!!

With the AP in mind, I am now thinking about booking two connecting rooms at the All Stars! I like the thought of 2 tv's, 2 bathrooms and more space, 520sq feet in total!!! The main room with the king bed should be quite roomy. Having said that, if the AP discounts don't materialise........... !!! Oh it's so difficult to make all these decisions. Good luck.

I just got back from my very first stay at POP last week. I am a usual Deluxe/moderate disney gal. That being said... I LOVED POP. I think that 2 rooms at POP would be great for you. It is a fun resort. the busses only service POP.. and there are lots of em. The food court is great. there are 3 pools.. one right near the food court. Oh.. and the Nachos are GREAT!! LOL!! actually.. all of the food there was great... and something I discovered on my second day there.. there are much healthier food options in the refrigerated section of the food court.. towards the back.. there are grilled chicken wraps.. salads... fruit... yogurt... many options for you... Having the second room will give you another bathroom.. and with teens that is a wonderful thing!!! So.. I say.. get the 2 rooms at POP.. you will be thrilled.. and you will all have your own space.. you can even request a King room in pop with a connecting Double... (although.. be advised that ALL of the King rooms at pop have handicapped access bathrooms.. which was no big deal for me.. I actually enjoyed the extra room in the shower. Just missed having a tub!) So.. do it.. have fun... you will feel like you are splurging.. and to be honest.. the rooms at the values are almost identical to those in the Mods.. and even some of the Deluxes.. same setup..

A couple of years ago we took my niece and nephew. They were a bit older-15 and 13, but I am so glad we got them their own room (this was at ASSp) and that was only for TWO nights!!! They loved having their own room keys and coming and going as they pleased (while we were at the resort). The extra room and bathroom are great. We have often had two rooms at the values and it is nice. If some want to rest or nap, others can still stay up and watch Tv or whatever...
If you want, split your stay. 5 nights at one resort is plenty!

We just stayed at ASMo with a 15 & 11 yr old. We got along just fine in one room. While I would prefer moderate or deluxe this was a trip based around the marathon and therefore hotel amenities did not matter. I would much rather be at the moderate (again one room) with the extra amenities for my kids than have two rooms at value. We don't hang out in our room at Disney. We book for what the hotel offers outside the room and I would want them to have a better pool, boat rentals, etc. to enjoy. CSR is their favorite moderate but we love POR as well. I do agree though that your trip is long and I would consider a split stay and enjoy both worlds.

I think I would go with 2 rooms. It can get a little tight with 2 girls that age. I would think they would be thrilled to have their own room. Their own bathroom, t.v., bureau space. Get connecting rooms. We loved AllStarMusic so I would assume that we would like Pop also. The food court was really good and had everything we needed. Yes, a pool slide would have been nice but since it was mid-Dec it was a little chillly to swim so not a huge deal.

You might get really lucky and a good rate will come out and you could book 2 rooms at a moderate. Now, that...would be perfect imho!! I'm just not sure how the girls will feel about sharing a bed with each other. And I know that my dh and I can not be in a double together. My dd and I usually share a bed when dh is with us. So, there is that issue also. Keep your eyes open and hopefully a good rate will come out for you.

Maybe you can ask your daughters what they would prefer? Go to allearsnet.com with them and look over all the pictures (room and of the resort) of each value and moderate you are thinking of and see what they think? (Unless of course this is a suprise trip). Good luck either way, you'll have a great time no matter where you are!
