Does anyone know if this is going to be relocated, hopefully in the MK, after it closes at HS? I am TRULY saddened that Disney would close this nostalgic homage to the man who created ALL of this FOREVER. It would be sacrilege! I literally spend an hour every time I'm there looking at everything, even though I've seen it all before, including the film. It's a Must-See during every trip and brings back more memories than the lame Great Movie Ride.

Anyone else feel the same way?

A lot of people share your sentiments, but TPTB have not announced what OMD's fate will be.

We have it on good authority from an expert (Attraction CM) that 'it's a vicious internet rumor and that they while they can't promise to be there thru eternity so they can't say they will never close, they have no plans to do so anytime soon?"

I personally do not mind if they relocate it, but to close it completely would be an outrage! Build upon it? YES! New film? ABSOLUTELY! But to ever get rid of something like this would be devastating to me and it should be to everyone.

I thought there was an announcement expected at D23. In fact, I read that the OMD is closing ASAP. That might be a rumor, it's difficult to keep up. Hate to see it go though. :earsboy:

Why would they remove the only real attraction honoring the man? Really? Who believes this until it's announced?

It was rumored last week that it's closing and with today's announcement that Pixar Land is expanding in a HUGE way that 'rumor' looks to become a reality since it's next door to TSMM. I know One Man's Dream used to be in MK and here's hoping it moves back. They CAN'T do it away with it forever!!

I think it would be wonderful in MK....maybe near Carousel of Progress. But I also saw someone reporting that things were already being removed from it.....his desk and other office items were gone and perhaps moving to the Disney Family Museum. I hope that's only temporary while they build out space for it somewhere. Even an empty storefront in DTD.

Any chance that you can re-write this into comprehensible syntax? I'm not being facetious. It seems as if you might have something important to say, but this is completely incomprehensible, especially with the question mark at the end. Is this supposed to be a statement or a question?

There is a rumor that the exhibits will be relocated to the Family Museum in SF.

A CM I asked responded that "it's a vicious internet rumor and that while they can't promise to be there through eternity, so they can't say they will never close, they have no plans to do so anytime soon."

The sarcastic tone was mirroring him, and we all know CMs don't really know much information... Soo...I guess do what you will with his quote?

Yeah it seems there's no official word on this yet, even whether it's closing or not

Nothing announced about One Mans Dream at D23 but it's current location is most likely in Toy Story Land.

Didn't they move Walts desk and other items from it? I'd say it has a stellar chance to be torn down - no one really goes in anyway which is sad.

We were there this week (Thursday), nothing seemed to be missing and it was busy. I could be wrong but the attraction looked as it always has (at least to us). There was a lot of people in OMD and the movie was pretty full as well. I hope they leave it or relocate it as well, we love it!

The day I heard a little girl say to her Mom, in awe, "you mean, Walt Disney was a real person?" I decided that the "One Man's Dream" attraction needs to be somewhere and should be required for all visitors.

I have overheard more than one kid say something along the lines of "Who is that man standing with Mickey?" when looking at the Partners statue. :sad2::sad1::sad2::sad1:

Yes, there are reports that things are already being taken out of it. At this point I cannot see how it will NOT close down since Toy Story Land will be taking over the area and it honestly just doesn't fit with the new theme that the park is moving to. I absolutely love it and will be sad to see it go. It would be nice if it could find a home on Main Street or somewhere else. I personally think it's important to keep the man's memory alive in some physical way.

I hope so too. At the rate Disney is moving though I have a feeling it will get lost in the shuffle.
