My family journeyed to DL yesterday after ten years of not having been in the park! We live 30 minutes away. Our adult son gifted us the tickets and the "front of line pass" or Lightning Lane premier pass. It was worth every penny on a busy holiday weekend- Dec 22. Arrived 8 am and did not have crowds until 3 pm or so. Rode 15 headliner rides with no wait, rode several others like the train, ALice, etc. Caught the 5:30 pm Christmas parade, 9:30 fireworks (magical), and the 10:30 Fantasmic- all new show in some parts for us after the dragon fire. We were home by midnight with aching legs. All of the guests were super friendly and chatty, staff was great, park was clean, and had no trouble getting meals without reservations. The merchandise on sale is really fabulous. It truly was a perfect Disney day and will no longer stay away during the holidays!

What a great gift from your son. It sounds like a magical visit.

I totally see the benefit of Premier Pass, especially for a one day trip like yours but ugh the cost is outrageous.

Sounds like a blast! We were there a couple weeks ago and really love the holiday decor and vibe and make a point of visiting in December to soak it all in.

Yeah, I wouldn't turn down a gift like that! The vast majority of the time the regular LL upgrade would do just fine, but I can see how it would be super nice to just stroll around the park and hop in the LL line for whatever ride you want. Would certainly save steps criss-crossing the park!

Just be aware that all Magic Keys were blocked yesterday. If you decide to visit during the holidays when MK are not blocked, it will likely be a different experience.
