One looong paragraph is a turn off!

Add to the mix when they change the font color to something so light you can't hardly read. That irks me so bad.

It doesn't matter which board, but I think I find this more on the Resort board. They talk about their recent trip and share the whole story without breaking it down. It's all in one looooooong paragraph! No breaks whatsoever as if the person is talking about just one thing and one thing only about their trip.

When I see that loooooooong paragraph, I just don't bother to read it. In my head, it's like reading a loooooong novel.. a very looooooong chapter with one looooooooong single paragraph.. like a looooong essay with just a loooong paragraph.

Anyways.. I thought I'd share what somewhat that irks me.

I agree, one long paragraph is quite annoying. It's like listening to someone talk and they don't take a breath, they just go on and on and on like a long run-on sentence with no end and it just turns into a drone that makes your eyes glaze over cause they never know when to stop and you can't get a word in edgewise and eventually you have no idea what they are talking about because you are concentrating on trying to stay awake but still they don't stop and I think that's what a long paragraph is like because people should know how to write succinctly and break up different thoughts so to speak into different paragraphs so that people will find it more interesting to read and they will be more willing to take the time to read something even if it is long as long as it's broken up into paragraphs of three to eight lines but some people make one sentence a paragraph and then start a new one which can also be annoying but not nearly as annoying as a really long paragraph that seems to have no end and who wants to read such a long paragraph because it's just too long and if you've read this far please know that I am only joking because I don't care for long paragraphs either, really, so please don't flame me and if you do, I'll know that you didn't take the time to read this ridiculously long paragraph but I'm at that "w" place & am a little down so I thought I'd do this as a distraction and I will end here because I'm boring myself now.

In the last day or two I was just commenting (on the DIS) about how I'm always afraid of making a spelling mistake on a spelling vent thread, so you have no idea how funny it was to me. And wait a minute, I was saying that I was good at overlooking typos, not finding them!

Reminds me of the story that I've related before on the DIS. I have 2 sisters and we e-mail on a regular basis. One sister was saying something about typos, but when she typed the word, she made a typo and typed "tyro", so of course, however many years later, that's what we refer to them as.
