2 days. We only have 2 days until we leave for our wonderful vacation! I can't wait, and yet I can't seem to pack either. I have to pack not only for myself but for the babies for 10 days and I don't even have our suitcases out yet. What in the world is wrong with me?!
Today was to be a day dedicated to laundry and packing. The puppy had other plans in mind. He has had diarrhea for a few days and then last night he started throwing up.
My first thought was parvo. We squeaked into the vet this morning and I am soooo happy his parvo test was negative! They sent us home with 3 meds and a bland diet and an assurance that Charlie will most likely be fine. Phew!!!
Elsa and Charlie at the vets, right after we got the news that the parvo test was negative. Charlie doesn't seem to care as he is just too tired, but you can see how relieved Elsa is:
I spent some time tonight, after the little ones went to sleep, trying to map out our Universal day. I can't believe I am doing this just 2 days before we leave. 2 days. What a difference it makes when you add another baby and a puppy to the Disney planning equation. I sometimes secretly pride myself in keeping it all together, but I will be honest my plate is full. Maybe even overflowing just a bit.
I hope that partially winging it at Universal Studios will be mostly positive. Honestly, the only reason we shelled out the extra money and time for Universal is to experience the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Can't wait! I guess whatever else we get to see there will have to be considered a bonus!
I suppose tomorrow will be a day full of packing and reflecting on 9/11.
Oh, and don't worry about me. I'll get it all done. I somehow always do. And that full plate I was talking about earlier? Well, that full plate is also an overflowing cup of blessings. I am so thankful for my kids...all 5 of them!
And I am very thankful the puppy will be ok!
So, off to bed I go ready to pull it all together after church tomorrow
I can do it, I can do it, I can do it, I can do it!
