Hi all, I have been a long time linger on the board and I love the dining reviews. I read them religiously. I thought I would attempt my first brief dining report with this trip, my second, to the World.
Here's the cast of characters - I'm Danielle, 38, and love food!! My hubby, same age, and same food addiction but he's a little more adventurous than I am. We have two little princes, ages 3 and 6. My youngest enjoys trying new foods and the oldest is a basic kind of guy. We will be joined by Auntie Kim - a Disney-aholic and a foodie - for the first half of the week. We will also be joined by a larger party for one meal and that group includes two vegetarians.
We are staying at CSR from 4/22 through 4/28 and will be on the DDP. With the kids, we have lots of character meals. I made my ressies at the 180 mark and this is what we'll be trying.
4/22 - Arrival Day - Dinner at Akershus with the princesses. DS3 loves princesses and is so excited. DS6 is a borderline mutiny on this one and is disgusted that we need to dine with girls.
4/23 - Lunch at Biergarten. I made the reservation at 12:45 which the disboards told me is a great time to see the first oompa show. We'll see.
4/24 - Character Lunch at Tusker House. We are a party of 11 for this one, including the two vegetarians.
4/25 - Character Breakfast at Hollywood & Vine. Despite the mixed reviews for this place, my boys love Jake and Handy Manny. We like to do one big breakfast each trip. Last time, it was Cape May Cafe so we'll see how this stacks up (pun intended!!).
4/26 - Dinner at Ohana. This is for the grown ups and we are really looking forward to it!
4/27 - Dinner at Crystal Palace for our last night.
4/28 - Head home.
For counter service, we will definitely by hitting the new Pepper Market buffet. I also expect to try Starring Rolls, Restaurantasaurus, Columbia Harbor House, and Pecos Bills. For snacks, I am totally committed to finding a Dole Whip and hitting the Main Street Bakery.
Wish us luck!
Danielle
