One Is Not Enough! Back-2-Back on the Magic-12/1 & 12/8 (Updated 1/4: Transition Day)

What a great trip report! I enjoyed the entire thing and the pictures were an added bonus. I felt like I was there. Thanks for taking the time to write it!

Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I am only on page 7 but have been enjoying this report a lot! Thanks so much for taking the time to write, it is awesome!

loved your TR! where is the one with your mom? hope it went well. also, how much was the gold by the inch? if not too pricey, it sounds like a great gift for my 10 year old daughter. thanks for your help!

Actually, I never wrote the report for the cruise with my mom. We had a great time but, for some reason, I just never got to the report.

Gold-by-the-inch prices vary according to the chain you select. My 7" bracelet cost approximately $20. The chain I selected was in the middle of the price range.

Thank you for sending me a link to your trip report! It was really amazing!! I got teary eyed a couple of times while I was reading it. I also have a son and daughter (16 & 13) so it was really cool to see all of your pictures. They grow up so quickly. You have sealed the deal for me to do back to back cruises in 2010!!! Now all that I have to do is convince my husband!:lmao: I think whatever we plan to do, I will try to keep it a secret from the kids, since it is soooo far away. Thanks for sharing!!:cool1:

Yay! I'm so glad that you enjoyed the TR and that it convinced you to go for the B2B sailings. Believe me, you won't regret it!

Happy Sailing!

Wow! What an amazing trip!
Did you prefer the East or West? Why?
we are trying to decide before tomorrow am... :goodvibes

Did you have any problems pulling your kids out of school for 2 weeks?

We much prefer the Western. We love the Western ports and find those on the Eastern to be a bit boring. If we liked to do a lot of beach days the Eastern would have been better, but we don't. We love wandering around Key West, the snorkeling in Grand Cayman and just being in Cozumel.

We had no problems pulling our kids out of school for two weeks because they don't go to school. We homeschool. ;) We just started two weeks early last year and then took the two cruise weeks off. Now DD16 is in college so no more off-season trips for us. It's been hard getting used to that. I guess I took our travel flexibility for granted.

If my kids were younger (elementary school aged) I'd have no problems pulling them out for two weeks. I am a teacher by trade and there's nothing that an elementary school-aged child will miss in two weeks that cannot be made up before/after. (Middle/High school is a different story, IMO.) Travel is such a great learning experience!

Thanks for a wonderful trip report - I am a big fan of detailed pictures included reports so it was right up my street!

Did you do one for your Eastbound Repo? If so can you post the link please?
