I have to get rid of one of my ADR's...... Please give your input!
Nov. 23 - 1900 Park Fare dinner
Nov. 24 - Sci Fi -lunch
Brown Derby dinner
Nov. 25 - Princess Dinner at Norway
Nov. 26 - Tusker House breakfast
- Rainforest Cafe-Dinner
Nov. 27 - Thanksgiving Dinner at Chef Mickey's (not an option to cancel)
Nov. 28 - Teppan Edo dinner
Nov. 29 - 1900 Park Fare breakfast

We are on the dining plan and will be paying OOP for Brown Derby and Rainforest Cafe. I only get 6 TS on the plan. We arrive around 5:00 on the 23rd, so I was thinking of skipping this one and just heading to MK............

I would drop Rainforest Cafe. Food there isn't very good, all frozen and reheated stuff. Go into the gift shop and look around at the fun atmosphere, but the food just isn't worth the price.

I would drop Rainforest Cafe (not great food) or Teppan Edo. We have tons of Japanese Steakhouses in my area where they cook in front of you, if you do also, I would skip this.

I would probably drop either the Sci Fi Lunch or the Brown Derby dinner since that's two ADRs in one day.

My input is to get rid of 1900 Park Fare for one of them. I dont' think you can mess up a breakfast buffet, so I would keep it and get rid of the dinner. We were extremely disappointed with the dinner there.

I would drop Rainforest cafe -- IMO; if I had to choose between the 1900 PF breakfast or dinner, I'd choose to drop breakfast ... better character interaction at the dinner.....

What time is your 1900 dinner? If you arrive at 5pm on the 23rd, you'll probably cut it really close and can possibly be late if you are waiting for Magical Express, etc.

Since you're not arriving till around 5pm on the 23rd, I'd drop the 1900 PF for dinner. That way you're not rushing to get to dinner your first night.

That, or drop the 1900 PF breakfast (breakfast is cheaper and not as good a value on the DDP anyways)

Another vote for 1900 PF Dinner. You're going there twice in the trip and it'll be a rush for you to get there on your first day. I'd grab a CS and head to MK vs sitting down at 1900 PF on arrival.

Derby, Rainforest or 1900 Breakfast (I prefer dinner) would be my personal picks to go. I know Rainforest is a big novelty to some, so its great if you've never been and dont have any around you, otherwise pass.

I would drop the Rainforest Cafe.
It's very generic and not "Disney" enough, IMO.
I would NOT drop the Brown Derby.
When me and my DBF went it was one of my favorite meals.

Not the OP, but OP said she was paying OOP for Brown Derby & Rainforest (RFC isn't on the DDP and BD is 2TS but doesn't cost much more than 1TS)

I would cancel your departure day breakfast. It will give you more flexibility on that final day: sleep in, use the pool, hit a park, etc. choose a CS meal instead.

I'd drop Rainforest. Rainforest is a national chain, albiet a small one, but it can be had elsewhere. You can't get a "Disney" dining experience anywhere else but WDW, Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disney, and Hong Kong Disneyland, and only two of those are really possible to go to if you live in the US.

my vote is to cut Dinner at Park on arrival day. get to the park and relax. I would be too excited to eat a big dinner right after getting there.
On our last trip, we had dinner reservations at Boma after getting into Disney just a couple of hours earlier and we were too tired from travelling and too excited to see everything. We just didn't have the appetite to really enjoy the dinner and get our meal credits' worth. We just picked at our food.

Are you flying? I'd vote to drop 1900 breakfast on your last day unless you have a late flight. It will be a hectic day and Magical Express may have you leaving close to 3 hours prior to your flight. Also, on your first day, what time do you get in? We landed at 12:30 and barely made our 5:00 dinner at 1900. We didn't even have time to freshen up. :sad2: The bus took a while and check-in took a ridiculously LONG time. (It did last year too.) If it ends up that you miss both 1900 Park Fare meals, you could use the credits for the Brown Derby.

I should add that we thought the food was okay at 1900 Park Fare for dinner, desserts were nice, Cinderella, Lady Tremaine and Stepsisters were great and the Grand Floridian is so lovely.:)

I agree with the posters who advocated dropping the arrival evening TS. Magical Express can take longer than you think, and the last time I went (using a rental car) delays at Atlanta meant we barely made our 9 pm ADR at Chef Mickey (originally due in to MCO at 5pm). I don't think you really want to eat that late with your little ones.

I also agree with the posters who said drop the departure day breakfast. This is a hectic day (esp. with small children) and if you are using DME it does schedule you very early for your flight. I would only do this TS if your flight is after 3 pm.

I would drop Rainforest Cafe. Either that or the 1900 Park Fare on your arrival day, only because you may be rushing to get there.
