I hear about all kinds of places on the radio in ads and didn't know where they were. Well, I still don't know where they are (since I was lost and have no idea where I was), but I can say I have atleast visibly seen them.
I told my kids I really need to get a navigation thingy for my truck so that when I get us lost, I might can get us unlost a little faster.
I told my dd once that the area where we were at looked a lot like Orlando right before we get to WDW. She said "Mom, for all YOU know we probably ARE in Orlando.
"
Only in my dreams.

My ds got out both maps and tried to tell me where we were, but he only got me more lost.
"Turn by where that barn used to be in 1943. Then turn at the such and such that was there before they moved it.", etc. I have a very poor sense of direction, but I'd rather depend on it.
I love lis tening to music in the car, and I am not prone to stopping for directions unless I am on a really tight schedule.
