Okay, calling tomorrow to book our 2011 FD vacation using the public code....my question is can we still pay one deposit and have the rooms tied together? Every year, except last year, we've been able to do this....as we are one family (dad, mom and 5 children).

I really like having it all under one reservation, then it's only one number to deal with and all our dining credits were on one card.....much easier than carrying 2 cards and trying to keep everything straight.

So has anyone called and booked 2011 FD as a large family and only had to pay one deposit/one reservation number? Just want to make sure it's still a possibility before I call so if I get a CM that isn't familiar with those procedures I can hang up and call back.

They gave us two reservation numbers when we booked two rooms for our family of six (one adult and two children in each room).

Not the answer you were looking for!!! Kind of hassle, I know.

Well, I hate when they do that. For years we were able to do the one reservation number, one deposit. I would really be willing to do two deposits if they'd just keep it one ressie number and one card for everything LOL

My DIL and Step-Son had 4 rooms reserved for FD for themselves and their 8 kids and had to pay a deposit on each of the 4 rooms.

We originally made ressies at ASMU family suites (6 of us), and there was 1 reservation, of course. But we had to change dates, and the family suites were not available, so now we have 2 rooms, and hence, 2 different reservations.

Did they make you pay another deposit when you broke it in to 2 different reservations? That's what happened to us last year.....we initially had one and then when we added my MIL (still just 2 rooms) they said they had to break it in to 2 reservations and needed another 200.00 down....although we'd been making payments all along and they could have just credited the new room with some of that money? Oh well......when it's one family it really should be 1 ressie...who wants to give Disney 400.00 to hold for over a year LOL

OK, it's tomorrow now. Did you call? Did you have to pay the deposit once or twice. Post back.

We originally had one reservation at ASMu (family suite). I called a few weeks later to change it to two rooms at Pop. We had to pay $200 for that one (in addition to the $200 we had paid for the first ressie).

Next time I think we are just going to do a room only ressie. Packages are not the best deal for us.

One deposit, wasn't even asked for two. And it's all one reservation number....YAY!!! So it still can be done....I guess it's another one of those CM mysteries. Thanks everyone for answering....I really really thought I'd have to deal with 2 deposits based on everyones response, but thankfully I got a CM that entered it like they have in all the years past.

Gald everything worked out! I can't beleive I am going to book a trip and I haven't even taken the first one yet.

I know.....I felt so strange booking a trip and we've not even left for our 2010 trip yet, but gosh what a relief and I won't have to worry about taking time out at the resort to call bounceback, or fret about not getting a flyer in the room like in years past. I can just enjoy this vacation knowing that when I get back the next one is already in the planning stages :) Gives me something to obsess about LOL Plus it makes paying for it a LOT easier.....it's actually kind of nice.
