I'll be in Orlando the week after next and I'd like to get to Epcot to check out the new Space ride/exhibit. I'm on a very tight schedule though and I'll only be able to go for one evening, probably like 5pm until closing...

Any suggestions for getting the best bang for my buck... I don't want to blow too much money for just a couple of hours in the park.... Any hints/tips/tricks on discounts I might be able to use to save some $$$?

Thanks!

I hate to inform you, I have never had a cheap night at epcot, admission to the gate is around 55 dollars, not to mention if you chose to check out the restaurants, or any of the drinks in this area. Ill. is at 9pm, so you will have to decide if 4 hours and the money are worth the exp[erince to experience mission space, If it was I , I would not.

Unfortunately, I think Debi's right...

There might be a discount for going in to the park after hours, but a new ride like that will have the FastPass thingy going on and by then there won't be any fast passes left...they're usually sold out by noon or so...and the stand by line will be out the exit.

Any way you can go another time? Or send someone to get a fast pass for you early in the morning then, you can just show up that afternoon and get on the ride.

Good luck!

A few years ago my DD and I went to Epcot a little after 5pm after a day at Blizzard Beach. Afterwards we really regretted that we had wasted a whole day of our hoppers on a couple hours.

The BIG question here is how long will it be before you can come back to Orlando and get to EPCOT?

If this is the only time you will be in Orlando any time soon, then I say GO FOR IT! If you're coming back soon when you can take more time, then wait.

As soon as you get there go to SPACE and check for a fast pass! This is the slow time of the year and EPCOT has been light for the past couple of weeks. If there is no fast pass available, get in the SINGLE RIDER LINE. This ride is definitely worth the time and money. There is simply nothing like it anywhere else in the world.

Plan on eating cheap. There are some good counter service resturants in World Showcase. We like the quiet Yakatori House in Japan as well as the counter service resturant in the front of Morroco (If it is open).

I'm going to play it by ear and see what happens... maybe I can get away earlier than I think... if not, then I'll see how I feel at the time...

we are planning a trip for 2006, so I can always wait until then! ;)

Thanks for all the good advice!!!
