One day trip to MK...

We're thinking of taking the kids down to florida this winter to visit my grandmother who lives 30 minutes from DW. We can't afford a long stay in DW, but probably will get a hotel (one of the value resorts probably) for one or two nights while we are down there and take the kids to the Magic Kingdom. Our youngest is going to be 4 and our oldest kids (twins) will be 11, but our oldest have been to disney once already when they were 6. My parents will take us down again when our youngest is 6, in 3 years, this trip will just tide us over until then. LOL!

Anyway, how am I going to cope just being able to do one park this trip?!!! Do you think I should just skip disney this time and wait another 3 years, and do SeaWorld or universal instead? WHY is there so much to do in Central Florida?!!LOL!!

Please help me decide what to do.

This past March I only had time fo a one day trip. It was awesome! We did MK as you are suggesting you would do. It was great and a great way to stave off withdrawl for a little while longer. We stayed at PC for two nights - I will not do this again - and we were able to get in an evening and a full day at WDW.

Think of what you can do in that time frame: we were able to eat at two nice on property restaurants for dinner, take in a full day at MK, and then catch Sprectromagic and the fireworks.

You can not be 30 minutes from the world and not go!

Yeah, you're right. It would be hard to be 30 minutes away and NOT go. I'm such a sucker for disney though, I'm gonna want to stay the whole week!!LOL!!

And you're sure you can't stay longer? If you are sure, I would ask the twins what their vote is. A day trip to Sea World sounds like fun. Too much at Universal for just one day as well.
