I would be super upset if EE was closed during out visit..that's my favorite ride. Glad you got on most everything else though!!

I love EE, I was bummer we didn’t get to ride it twice!! In my upcoming trip we’re only at animal kingdom once, which im nervous about!! And you won’t believe how much we got done at MK! Thanks for reading!

If you can believe this while we were there they had a minor eathquake off the coast and about the same time EE shut down for the day. I wonder if it is that tempermental? We didnt get to ride it that day but my girls got to ride it later and loved it. I on the other hand got the bad end of that stick.

Didnt you feel so wonderful sharing a little Disney magic with someone with your fast passes? It always makes us happy if we can spread some magic to others while we are there. It makes us feel as good as it makes them feel.

Don't tell anyone, but we loved the bugs life movie as much as the kids and it was a place to sit out of the heat for awhile!

It must be really temperamental! So you’ve never been on it? It’s probably the most “thrilling” of the Disney coasters, I think it even beats rockn roller coaster! Thanks for reading, and I DID feel great about my good deed for the day! Wait to find out what comes of that later on!

I hate to hijack my own TR, but I discovered something i'm really excited about! I was going through my old disney photos from last year, and came across something I really wanted to share. Even though in numbers, I know i've lost weight during my quest for thinness (my goal is to be comfortable wearing a tank top during my september trip!) I never noticed it on myself until I compared my recent disney photo to an old one. I'd really like to share this with you as I don't know where else to post it. Thanks for reading!

I've been reading along silently, but since you're excited about your before and after pictures, I'll be among the first to congratulate you. I need to lose about thirty pounds before our trip, so that the walking will be easier, but it ain't gonna happen, I'm afraid. Our trip is in 38 days. I just can't get motivated at my age, and I already have one "lame" leg from a cancer surgery a few years back, so taking off some poundage would make the many miles in the heat a little easier, surely. Maybe I can use your success to motivate me a little more. Sorry about EE being down. That's on our schedule for our first full day, first thing in the morning. We're looking forward to it, but if it's down, we've got time to go back and try again and again, since we'll be there a while. Keep up the reporting and pictures. It helps those of us who wait.

30 days is plenty of time to make a difference!! If you pick a goal like “I want to be able to walk a mile without being out of breath” it’s a lot easier to achieve than a number! I hate numbers…..Thanks for reading!!

Magic Kingdom here we come!

The ride to the TTC was pretty uneventful. It did take about 15 minutes for the bus to get to AK though, or at least it felt that way. There was this woman on the bus holding on to the handrails wearing a tanktop, who apparently doesn't like to shave. I know, i know, too much info...but I had to live it, you only have to read it!

When we got to the TTC, we decided to take the monorail to MK, and without saying a word, I planted the idea in my head that I was going to ask to sit up front. I had already known that SpeedWalker didn't even know you could sit up front from earlier conversations, so when we got to the top, I asked the nice CM and all we had to do was wait for the second ride! SpeedWalker was THRILLED! I swear, in that moment, you couldn't tell the difference between him and a 6 year old, he IMMEDIATELY started filming himself documentary-style..explaining to his audience what he was about to experience.

What a friendly CM he was!

Once we got on, SpeedWalkers utter excitement didn't cease. He proceeded to film and film and film. He was thrilled!

I was so happy I could make the day even more special for him.

There's nothing like walking into the Magic Kingdom for the first time. Whether its the first time in your life, for the first time of your vacation, or just the first time that day, theres something that envelopes you into the magic. The smell, the smiles, the music, the way the pavement feels. Nothing like it out there.

As excited as we were to get the party started, the bathroom was calling out to us after all that water, so we made a quick magical bathroom break before heading out.

I love the excitement in SpeedWalkers face in this picture, he truly expresses how I think everyone feels before turning that corner:

We turned the corner and took it all in before going into a little nook on main street because SpeedWalker had heard you can hear singing coming from one of the rooms?

Once he was denied, we took the castle picture! Look closely, do you see what I see?

At this time it was around 2:30, so we walked through adventureland to try our luck at Pirates. "Jack Sparrow" was teaching mini-pirates to be pirates, and SpeedWalker had to stop regardless of the fact that we couldn't see a thing. Or at least I couldn't see a thing, SpeedWalker is tall enough to see over the crowd. I tugged on his shirt after I had enough of standing on my tippy toes, and we headed over to the ride.

SpeedWalker is a HUGE Pirates fan, and he hasn't been on the ride since the remdel, and He LOVED IT! The wait was around 20 minutes, not too bad.

When we exited, we passed the Dole Whip stand, and I need to share a little backstory: I have never had a dole whip. I want a dole whip! No, I NEED a dole whip! I gotta have one! SpeedWalker knows this. He's had one before, and he's heard me repeat over and over how much I want one. He assures me we will return, so I pass by the stand into a crowd of a million people.

How did i get here? 2 seconds ago I was breathing oxygen in wide open space and now I'm standing surrounded by a wall of bodies!

Somehow we ended up near the parade. We had decided to skip the parade purposely to maxamize short lines, but alas, there was no way out! We couldn't get accross! We had no choice but to admit defeat and stand there and watch the parade. I guess there are MUCH worse things arent there? Especially since I love the parade, and I have the music on my iPod.

As soon as we recognized the final float, SpeedWalker grabbed my hand and we RAN to Splash Mountain.

The weather at MK was to die for! We had a great time, and i'm so happy to hear people agree about the magical cloud!

Before I begin this chapter, let me rewind for a bit because I can't believe I forgot to tell you a story!! Back when we were on It's Tough To Be a Bug, we were waiting outside the theatre behind a nice British family who had acquired Dream Fastpasses. After talking to them for a bit about it, and how they got them, they told SpeedWalker and I that they were leaving the park, and offered them to us!! I respectively declined their offer, stating we were leaving the park as well, and SpeedWalker had a reaction that looked something like this: Once they turned their backs, i told SpeedWalker that I noticed they already used the Dinosaur FP and he seemed to better accept the decision.

Could this be karma working already?? Remember those KS FP we gave to a passing couple not long before this? Keep reading for more on this.

So on to the chapter!! When last we left, the parade was over and we high-tailed it to Splash to nab FP. Oh no! When we got there, we found out that the FP was under construction, and we were faced with either a 45 minute wait or bust.

It was hot, humid and i NEEDED Splash, so we decided to brave it. SpeedWalker came up with a plan, he was to run to Fantasyland to get FP for one of the attractions and I was to go on the line. I voiced my concerns like "people will get angry" and "I hate splitting up!" but he promised it would be okay, and I had no choice but to agree.

As i entered the line, my nerves kicked in. Visions of being a lost child in a busy mall cloud my brain, and I worry. This sort of thing bothers me, the whole "lets split up in this dark scary cave" thing. Even in movies! It makes me totally nervous when characters split up! What for? So half of you can be eaten by the raptors? Anyway, I did what i do best in these situations, I called my mommy. I brought her up to speed with what was going on, and how our day was going, and then we hung up I tried calling SpeedWalker. No answer. Where was he? why was his phone off? Called Again. No answer. Now i got nervous, so I took my mind off of it by taking pictures.

10 minutes later, I finally recieve a call from SpeedWalker who informs me that Haunted Mansion is closed, and that he's on his way back. We meet up in the line, and it's about 10 more minutes before we're on my favorite ride!! We end up with this picture:

Sorry its a bit blurry, but the point is, its almost identical to EE! My hands are up, and Speed's are up in a fit of joy and accomplishment!

I was so pleased I got to go on my ride, and now what time is it? Dole Whip time! I was finally ready for my first Dole Whip! I was so thrilled!

OMG IT WAS AMAZING!!! SpeedWalker didn't remember it being so amazing, so when I couldnt finish mine, i gave it to him! But now we constantly joke about how much we miss the Dole Whip!! I need one right now!

We took our Dole Whips back to the front of the castle, where we relaxed for a few moments contemplating waiting for the show which was set to start in 20 minutes. We decided against it, and headed for Fantasyland.

We walked through Tomorrowland and I got a chance to see Belle (my favorite character!) doing her thing in her little area!! I thought maybe I could get a picture in, but the CM bouncers told me to wait for the next show. Boo!

Our Peter Pan FP's were for 7:30 (Bummer!) But PhillharMagic had no wait, so we jumped on that!

PhillharMagic was awesome as usual!! We loved it, and next we went to Tinkerbell's Treasures to try and catch a peak at Tink.

After many atempts, we failed to see Tink and gave up as we had no idea what anyone was talking about.

Afterwards we decided to travel over to Tomorrowland, but before we did, we hopped on the 20 minute Snow White line.

So I'm standing there casually, minding my business, when SpeedWalker taps me and yells! "LOOK! YOUR GIRL!" I turn around as fast I can and there I see her! My other favorite character Mary Poppins from my all time favorite movie Mary Poppins!! Let me tell you, for a month I have been telling SpeedWalker how all I want to do is have my picture taken with Mary Poppins and there she is, 15 feet in front of me, with a girl, taking a picture!! I walk, no, RUN over there off the line for my oppurtunity but when I get there, she turns around and goes on the carousel! Are you kidding me?? Belle AND MARY!? 2 near misses!! I did manage to snap this picture of her, which will have to do until my next trip where my quest will be to get that darn picture. You're talking about the girl that not only once, but twice, excitedly yelled "Mary Poppins!" during the parade. A 20 year old girl. But enough about this...

We rejoined the Snow White ride, where Speed tells me an interesting story he learned from his mom. Originally, the ride never featured Snow White because it was supposed to be that you were her, and you were seeing everything from her perspective, but people complained and they later added her in.

After Snow White it was 5:00, and we decided to go to Tomorrowland for a bit, then pick up a few things on Main Street and then go eat.

Would things go as planned??? Stay tuned for Buzz Lightyear gone wrong! An interesting trip in the future, and shopping! (which is always fun!) Sorry to keep this chapter short, my computer is acting weird, and i'm trying to watch Indiana Jones. More to come shorly!

THEY all claimed they could see her wing, and eventually I guessed that I could see her wing too. Apparently, she is VERY far off to the right and NOT facing towards you, so all you can see is the back of her head and her wing...

You have got me interesting in Dole Whips- any idea if they count as a DDP snack? I can't wait to read on! It was just a great perspective to see what I can actually get done in the crowds of summer! Yes, i was so confused when i went there because everyone refers to the dole float as the dole whip!! the dole whip is strictly the ice cream, the dole float is the ice cream and the juice. Thats the one you want! the dole float!

It's sometimes the greatest curse to know that you live so close and yet you don't go out there as often as you should. I almost prefer to live farther away, it only makes that vacation seem that much bigger!

Haha, i always take pictures when I'm not supposed to. First time in PhillharMagic I was snapping away right when the CM said "no flash photography" and i was in the middle of a picture so the flash went off...priceless. lol
