Planning a trip in December and wish to only go to Disneyland for one day. From what I saw on the web site, those tickets are purchased at the park. Is there anyway or place I can get them ahead of time so I dont have to stand in that line?

If I have to get them at the park and assuming the park opens at 8am what time will I need to be in the parking lot by to get into the park when the park opens. When I have gone to Disneyland and DW I always am waiting in line at least 30 min before the parks open. If I have to do all this first what time. Any help would be great. Want to maximize my day.

Thanks
john

I have been able to find the 1 day tickets at VONS, Ralphs, Albertsons & Stater Bros grocery stores... I believe that they have them at the Disney store also, but not 100% sure on that one..

They normally open the parking lots 1/2 hour before park opening, (sometimes it can be earlier)

I would really try to get them before you go. With the birthday promotion the lines are long, really long :scared1:

If possible buy them the day before around midday or in the evening, your lines will be much lower then. Don't give up tho, keep looking as the PP suggested, you might get lucky and find what you're looking for. :)

Are you referring to the one day/one park only tickets, or the one-day Park Hoppers? Of course, with the 1-day Hoppers, I would imagine you could buy them online and print them at home instantaneously, as we all do with multi-day Hoppers. I have printed Hoppers at home before, but I can't recall if I have ever printed a one-day Hopper or if I have only done 2 days and above.

If it is the one day/one park tickets you need, there used to be a phone number you could call to order them with a credit card shown somewhere on the ticket section of the DLR website, and then DLR mails them out to you. I have several one day/one park tickets that a client got for me, and she ordered them just recently in that very way - she called a number, gave them a credit or debit card #, and they mailed her the tickets. You shouldn't have to wait until you arrive at DLR to purchase them.

You can order them online as well all surrounding hotels. If you go at your local Disney store, you should be able to get all the info you need as to how to get tickets ahead of time.

:woohoo: good luck! and have a blast:cheer2:

Here is the phone number (to order the one day/one park tickets) I referred to in my earlier post - this is the number my client uses whenever she buys these tickets, and they mail them out to her pretty quickly:

(714) 781-4400

i'm interested in know this too. we will be in DL on saturday 7-11 and it's my daughter's 10th birthday. i understand i have to go to the ticket booth to get her birthday pass - what time do you recommend i get there? i read here the tix open one hour before the park, but when i called disney they said 30 minutes prior---
can anyone confirm what time tix booth opens and recommend what time i should get there - also this will be our only day at DL.

thanks!

Regular One-Day, One-Park tickets are pretty much only sold through mail order or at the gate. Disney Stores, Disney Desks, official hotel locations, and supermarkets DO NOT carry them. I don't know if the ticket broker at GardenWalk carries them... but I don't think they do. Reason being is that One-Day, One-Park tickets are the FIRST to be restricted out on high capacity days... less they are made available outside of the gate, the less disappointed Guests you have who actually took the time to buy their tickets in advance.

Regular One-Day Park Hoppers can be purchased online and at the gate. I don't think Disney Stores carry them and Disney Desks and official hotel locations do NOT carry them. Supermarkets and the ticket broker at GardenWalk might, but I haven't checked recently.

There's really no way for someone to see into the future and tell you when you should get there. Earlier, the better... like with pretty much everything else in the world. You can get your birthday ticket from either the Box Office or Guest Services (face Disney's California Adventure and it's on the left behind the mural).

As for when the box office opens, it depends on the day.

thanks for the info - any suggestion as to which is normally easier - Box Office or Guest Services?

Guest Services can be hit or miss, depending on how many people are at Guest Services needing help.

Box Office can go quickly if most of the windows are open for the side that you are on.

It all depends really.
