New questions at bottom of this post!

-We are a family of 5: 17, 21, 24 DH and Me.
-We are staying off property and my 30 day window is this week. :dogdance:
-17 refuses to ride Splash Mountain, one doesn't like to be wet and the other said they weren't impressed so the plan is for me and DH to ride splash while others do HM
-I am still debating if 7DMT is worth the hassle and wait. It seems to me that it is not that much more exciting than BTMR.
-This is my children's first trip in 10 years so there may be some new not miss stuff that I haven't considered. My first trip in 9 years.
-I am doing QS meals only. Please include a QS option that will accommodate a low carb vegetarian.
-I like to get to the parks at opening. Take a mid-day break. Return early evening and stay until close. Our condo is close but from what I have read 30 minutes should be planned for each way.
-At this time the park hours are from 9-9. Crowd level at UT is a 5/10. It is a non EMH day for MK.
-We like but don't love shows and we can live without the parade.
-Fireworks are optional. We usually just grab the best spot possible at the last minute. Can we see anything from 7DMT? We may opt for the line while the fireworks are happening. I think there are a lot of projections on the castle now. I am really not into that. I feel like I am going to be watching a movie which I can do in a much more comfortable seat.

Here are our must dos:
Big Thunder Mountain
Space Mountain (This is a favorite. Would like to do 2x if possible)
Splash Mountain /Hunted Mansion
Pirates
Barnstormer
Mad Tea Party
Under the Sea w/ Little Mermaid
Mickey's Philarmagic.

These we would like to do but will survive if it doesn't happen:
Enchanted Tales w/ Belle
7DMT (This could move up to a must do if you tell me I am really missing something)
Winne the Pooh
Astro Orbiter (All but me. I cry every time. I feel like I am going to fly out)
Small World

It should also be noted that the day before DD and I plan on spending a half day at the MK while the rest do Universal. We will then hop over to Epcot. We will be doing the following attractions. The others in the party have no or little interest in these attractions. These are our must do's but I think I have my plan figured out.
-Peter Pan (FP goal)
-Space Mountain (I can't get enough)
-Buzz Lightyear
-Monster's Inc
-Tomorrow Land Cars (FP goal)
-Dumbo (FP goal)
-Magic Carpets
-Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire

Thanks. Planning is so much fun! (not sarcasm) (really)

New Questions: 1. Of the following to be done in the late morning (10:30ish), which one would you try to get a fp?
  1. Barnstormer
  2. Mad Tea Party
  3. Winnie the Pooh
  4. Enchanted Tales with Belle
  5. Under the Sea w/ Little Mermaid
  6. Philharmagic
2. How likely am I able to get a 4th FP after 6 pm? MK is open until 11.

It is considerably less exciting than BTMRR

Check out the menus at allears.net

I would figure driving time plus 45 minutes.

It's not like watching a movie. It's a completely different experience.

If you fastpass Peter Pan's Flight you'll miss the interactive queue, which is actually better than the ride itself. I would do it at rope drop and fastpass something else.

Because so much can be accomplished in Fantasyland at Rope Drop (especially w/o SDMT and PP), I'd head there at RD and do as many attractions as possible before starting my FP+ lineup at 10:30.

FP+1(10:30-11:30): Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (It's definitely worth experiencing at least once, though not a thrill ride by any stretch)
Ride Pirates before or after BTM (after would be more convenient, since you'd be crossing over to Tomorrowland, but there may be a slightly longer line by that point)
FP+2 (11:30-12:30): Big Thunder Mountain
Pecos Bill's for lunch?
Ride Astro Orbiter
FP+3 (12:30-1:30): Space Mountain

After riding Space Mountain, and before leaving the park, I would try to get a 4th FP+ for 2 separate parties that evening, upon your arrival: Splash Mountain and Haunted Mansion. This will be easier to do with smaller parties of 2 and 3. Granted, this means you may not be able to ride Space Mountain again. I'm not sure what FP+ availability, if any, would be available after using your evening FP+. You might be able to grab a Pirates FP+ near closing time, but just as likely not. If you don't want to risk it, I'd probably ride Pirates standby before or after BTMR. Either way, keep refreshing the app to score those 4th FP+s, even if nothing is showing up at first.

I'd definitely do Mickey's Philharmagic at night. If there was any Fantasyland attraction you weren't able to tackle in the morning, I'd do it/them in the evening, too.

The SDMT FP+ may be tricky to get for the morning, but keep refreshing, and it should eventually work out for you.

Pecos Bill's is pretty good. They do offer a veggie rice bowl, though that wouldn't satisfy your low carb requirement. Maybe you should just take a look at the QS menus at MK, and see what strikes your fancy.

Do you like the Muppets? It's worth watching one of their shows in Liberty Square if you can. My family loves it. Only takes about 10 minutes.

Allow 45-60 minutes for getting to MK, just to be safe. Luckily, you won't have to get there exceptionally early if you're not heading to SDMT or PP first.

If you really don't care overly much about the HEA fireworks, you could try ducking into the Space Mountain standby line near closing time, when the wait won't be too bad (maybe a half hour). It's also enjoyable watching the fireworks from Astro Orbiter or the PeopleMover.

Have a great trip!!

Regarding your low-carb vegetarian question:

I'm vegan, but I'm pretty aware of the QS vegetarian selections in MK. Nothing that I can think of comes close to being low-carb. Pizza at Pinocchio's, chili at CHH, the rice bowl (DH said "never again" last month) at Pecos Bill's. Cosmic Ray's has a falafel thing--not low-carb and, if you're a vegan reading this, only the falafel and not the bread it's served with is vegan. The other vegetarian MK non-TS food I'm familiar with: candy, pretzels, popcorn, pastries, ice cream. A veritable carbfest. Best of luck to you finding something! I gave up last year and now go to the Grand Floridian Cafe for lunch. Something for you to consider.

I think you have convinced me to move 7DMT to the day with me and DD only.

Do you know they could make the Southwest Salad w/ spicy beef w/ no beef? I think the rice bowl would be fine. I was just saying mac and cheese is a no go. I'm also strongly considering CH as I make a copycat recipe of their chili often. We could send the kids to Pinocchio's. Divide and conquer is what we often have to do during meals.

7DMT is cute but not worth a long wait. DH, DS13 and DS15 did it at RD two years ago and they thought it was fine but nothing to get excited about. We rode it later in the day with FP and they didn't want to bother with it later in the trip.
