I know, outrageously expensive! But, taking DD on a quick trip in Sept., (last trip was Nov. 2016) heading getting in Friday eve. Plans were to buy one day tickets and go to Epcot for F&W on Sat. then MNSSHP on Sunday, heading home by noon on Monday. I discovered AK has morning EMH on that Sat. so am contemplating adding the hopper so we can experience FOP (and whatever else we want in AK) then hopping to Epcot around noon (it's open til 10 that day). I don't want to scrap Epcot all together in favor of AK since we LOVE F&W. Would YOU add the hopper for that reason?? Help! It's $185 but basically provides entertainment from 8AM-10PM and we spent over $300 a ticket to see Hamilton which was over in a few hours. Look at me trying to justify the added expense lol! :D

That would be a VERY long day.

Even with EMH, you'll want to be AT the gates of AK by 7:15 in order to minimize your wait for FoP. Even if you're driving yourselves, that's a 6-6:15 wake up. Then all day until 10:00 at EP and transportation "home" means an 11-11:30 bedtime, later if you're using Disney transportation. You will be able to sleep in a bit the next day, so might be worth it. What time are you getting in the night before?

If it was me, I would get the park hopper, especially with Epcot as your late park. I find WS at Epcot to be a great place to slow down when I want to be out doing something, but not rushing around.

Yeah I know it would be a long day and the only reason I'm considering it is because of the party the next day. Our flight gets in at 6 PM on Friday and plans are to just go to resort (ASMo) and get to bed early after dinner.

I had a reallllyyyy long day on our last trip! Did the Wine & Dine 10K, then proceeded to visit ALL FOUR PARKS that day! I think I logged close to 20 miles total. DD did the parks with me, but slept until I came back from the run which I had gotten up for at 3 AM so her day wasn't nearly as rough as mine was. Was cool to say we did all the parks in one day though!

What’s the comparison with a 2 day ticket? You could rope drop AK on Sunday. Head back to hotel for napping and go to MK for Not So Scary.

It would be a total of $85 more for 2 2-day tickets vs. 2 1-day hoppers. This budget trip just keeps getting more expensive!

If you have the money comfortably and you aren't going back for awhile, I'd go for it.

Not only would I, but I did! We bought a 1 day ticket to do the Epcot Flower and Garden. Debated adding a day since my friend wanted to do Avatar. So we ended up adding the hopper that morning. Went to Epcot, and I said as long as we have a hopper... we went to Studios to do TSM and Star Tours, then went to AK.

Everyone will be going to Pandora for EMH. What about going to Epcot first, hit the F&W booths when the open at 11am, then go to AK later in the day. Pandora is better at night imo. Get in line for FOP before the park closes.

I WOULD DO IT!!

Have fun, it will be an amazing adventure!!

Ok, you guys convinced me! The best bunch of enablers ever!

Im in a very similar situation. Hoping to take my teen daughter for a short 3-night trip- arrival afternoon at resort pool, dinner at Disney Springs, then a day park hopping (yes, I'll pay for the hopper), then a sleep-in day with pool and MNSSHP in evening. Thats the full trip.
I agree, its a lot to spend on 1 day, but I think its worth it so we can hit our faves in each park. Probably will hit AK, EP amd HS that day.
Make the memories!!!

Yeah I’m thinking with the hopper, may as well hit DHS since it’s next door to Epcot at least to ride RnR. It was being refurbished our last trip, so it’s been 4 years since we’ve ridden it! So, if we do EMH at AK to just do Pandora & possibly EE, we should be done by 10-11, then to DHS then finish the day at Epcot, where should I try for FP? My DD is 15 so no problems of her keeping up, but it might to tough to haul her out of bed at 6!

I'd definitely get the hopper, and do AK at rope drop for FoP. Then Epcot if near 11, to start the eating, break at HS for RnR, back to Epcot for more eating. (When you return to Epcot, I'd go get a nice sit down (nap!) AC break at Epcot: France movie.)

I was thinking, should I make 2 FP for earlier at HS that I have no intention of using, then use a FP for RnR and as soon as I tap that one, try for something at Epcot? Of course if a SDD FP would magically appear I’d schedule and use that one, but not holding my breath. I know DD will want to ride Soarin’ which shouldn’t be a problem.
