One day in DLP... crazy?

We are going to be spending a week in Paris this June, as part of a couple of week Europe trip, and are thinking we will do a day trip to DLP.

We go to DL on a regular basis, so we figure we can focus on things that are more unique to the Paris resort.

I guess I'm just wondering if we are absolutely crazy to even be thinking about this.

Given that our whole family loves Disney (older daughter plans on being an Imagineer!) it just seems like we would constantly kick ourselves if we didn't go.

June crowds are easy to handle. The weather should be good too! Go for it :)

No, not crazy at all. It's an easy train ride from the city centre and assuming their are no school holidays on when you go and you avoid weekends it should be pretty quiet so you'll get loads done. The park will probably be open late aswell so you'll have plenty of time there.

We did a daytrip from Paris on New Years Day a couple of years ago. We had a wonderful time and greatly enjoyed the park and atmosphere. We didn't bother with the Studios, which meant we saw I think my advice would be to go with the aim of experiencing the park/s with maybe one or two headline things that you want to do, rather than a long list and being super commando!

Our day inspired a trip to DL in California this year, and we are going back to Paris for a long weekend in January. Compared to DL the castle and grounds are really beautiful, and some of the rides like Space Mountain are BTM are different and very cool!

Dreams is also meant to be amazing - am so excited to see this!

I have been pretty outspoken about DLP's shortcomings over the years but there is no way I could be in Paris without at least a day at Disneyland.

I don't think it is a crazy idea at all, DLP is so easy to get to from the centre of Paris. But if you want to see things that are unique to DLP then I would do the 2 parks as there are more things unique in the studios. In the Disneyland park I would explore the castle, Adventure Isle and do BTMRR, Space Mountain and Indiana Jones (if you like rollercoasters.) The Haunted Mansion also has different theaming(it looks more like an abandoned house as opposed to the one at DL which is quite ornate.) I would also stay to park closing to watch Dreams as that is unique to DLP too. In the Studios Crush's Coaster is unique to DLP as is the whole toystory play land and the ratatouille attraction which might just have opened in time for your visit. For a sit down meal I would suggest Walts ; it is unique to DLP, but the elevator in the lobby of the restaurant is a copy of Club 33 at Disneyland.
I have visited Disneyland in the past and love the parks there. I think the Disneyland park at Paris has more in common to the original Disneyland that either do to the Magic Kingdom at WDW (which is probably why the MK is my least favourite park at WDW!!)

Hubby and I were in Paris for week this last fall and spent 1 day at DLP and felt we were able to do most of what we wanted. Really the only thing we missed was ToT and RnR at Walt Disney Studios and RnR was closed causing longer lines at ToT. I think if it hadn't been closed, we definitely would have been able to do everything we wanted. The train ride out there was easy and relaxing. In fact, we were surprised how easy the transportation system around Paris was. We didn't grow up around public transportation so we were a bit apprehensive but did just fine.

We are thinking of surprising the kids with a trip to Paris in March for their bdays and of course will have to sneak in another trip to DLP. DD just told me how she SO wants to go to DLP! Hoping we can make it happen!
