With flights, you can sometimes find cheaper tickets on specific days of the week. Is the same true for booking a cruise? Is there a day of the week or time of day that prices vary?

Once cruise prices are posted that's what they are, whether you book on Monday or Thursday.

Now there can be some variation from one cruise to the next one, depending on whether each specific cruise is in the "high" season or not.

So one week a specific cruise (say an 7 night Eastern Fantasy cruise) may cost XX dollars, while the same cruise a week later may cost XXX dollars.

Thanks. The reason I asked is because we were looking a couple weeks ago in the middle of the week, and then when we went back to look again on the weekend, they had jumped about $400 for the same week. Any chance they might go back down or have we missed the earliest, cheapest fares?

Chances are you missed the lower fare.

Prices can sometimes jump astronomically within days, even minutes on some cruises.

Then you have bargain hunters... I haven't seen Disney, but other cruise lines will run sales a few weeks before embarkation to avoid an empty boat.

To save on cancellation insurance.... I plan my cruises last minute as I can be called away for work if I book months or a year in advance.
