We have one day at the park in June. DDs are 15 & 17, and have not been in years...like so long ago they don’t remember anything. This is a last minute trip as well.

Aside from their 3 Fast Passes (we can book starting Friday), we want to visit the following:

Country Bear Jamboree
Hall of Presidents
Jungle Cruise
Swiss Family Treehouse
Carousel of Progress
Enchanted Tiki Room
Pirates of the Caribbean

Their hopes for FP’s are Space Mountain, It’s A Small World and either Big Thunder Mountain or Splash Mountain. They’d like to do 7DMT, but won’t be heartbroken if they can’t, especially if they get to do most of the other stuff.

How realistic is it that we can get the non FPs in during one day? We will be there on an Extra Magic Hours day that the Park is open late.

You can easily do the attractions you listed in a day. Personally I'd get FPs for the mountain rides you listed, starting them late morning (perhaps 10am, 11am, noon) & then try for additional FPs. It should be easy to get small world or pirates then.

Thank you so much! We’ll work with that strategy then. My last visit was in 2009, and we didn’t have to do FPs then, so this is new to me. And with only one day, we want to enjoy it, without stressing about what we will miss. The listed items are our “musts”. The rest is a bonus!

No problem at all! I expect you're planning on this already but I'd leave country bear, hall of presidents, tiki room, and carousel of progress for mid-afternoon (or later) when it's hot out if you need some air conditioning. Also, that time of day it's more crowded and I don't think any of those should really have long waits, which is nice.

You will have such a great time! Enjoy your day.

Agree with PP about leaving the indoor rides until later. I wouldn't try to FP small world either, it's waits aren't crazy. I would do FP for all three mountains as they always have a longer wait. You can definitely get all that done in a day though! Schedule FP early and once they're used go for additional FP for your other rides. Have fun! :)

It wouldn't hurt to FP 7dmt, in place of one of the mountains. In my opinion it's not as good as them, but it is in higher demand. The wait for Thunder Mountain is usually under an hour and 7DMT is never that short. If you're at all curious about it, FP it.

You should have no problem doing those and if you do not get a FP for 7DMT get to the park early and do this one as your first ride the wait should be about 30-45 minutes unless you are right up front

The nice thing about MK is that FP+ isn't tiered, so you can get all kinds of FP+. Plus, it's the easiest park to get them. I'd definitely make 7DMT one of the first 3 FP+, as that's the hardest to get. The other two I'd suggest as Space and Big Thunder. The rest of the rides are super easy to get as 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th FP+. Many of the attractions you list have no line, such as Swiss Family, CoP and Tiki. Pirates also often is nearly a walk on ride.

Honestly, if you have your 3 FP+ set for the right rides, you can hit every single one of those on your list without rushing and without being in the park from open to close.

We are also doing only one day in MK in June. We are fp 7 dwarfs, Splash Mt and Big Thunder Mt. We will be there at rope drop and will head straight to Peter Pan. This should be your first ride if you are interested in this classic because it's a slow loading ride. The wait time gets long really fast and stays like that all day. Other rides to rope drop would be Haunted Mansion ( close to Peter Pan to minimize walking) Jungle Cruise and Pirates (again close by to each other). I would not waste a fp on Small World try to get it as a 4th fp or later. Most other rides on your list you can do easily throughout the day.
Also, Buzz Lightyear near Space Mountain is a fun ride if you are interested. Have a wonderful trip.

Get to the park 30 minutes before scheduled opening. Watch for opening time to change between now and your day. They actually let you inside the gates about an hour before opening because the opening show is now in front of the castle. You will get so much done in the first golden hour after rope drop. Be sure to add Mickey’s Philharmagic to your list of air conditioned attraction breaks. It is not to be missed and no fast pass required. Also, add Buzz Light Year Space Ranger Spin to your ride list. Enjoy!

Thank you all so much! All of these suggestions are super helpful, and I’m even more excited that it sounds like we’ll get almost everything in!!

Ah yes, definitely doing the AC attractions during peak heat times. DH is already complaining about the heat...so I got him a grumpy Mickey face shirt to wear that day :lmao:

I agree with poster who said don't FP Small World. The line is fast enough and the majority of the waiting in line is out of the sun. I have kids a little older than yours and The (Snow White/Dwarfs) Mine Train is a MUST fast pass. They LOVE it and the line is always way way way too long. So your very wise to use it on that.
Also did you know after you use your 3 fast passes you can get another one etc?

Either bring or buy a spray bottle of water. It's a life saver. That or a sport towel that keeps ya cool!

We usually show up an hour before the park opens so we can go straight to 7DMT and then Peter Pan right after. That way you can knock out two popular rides that normally have really long waits. I also think you should get your 3 FPs for Thunder, Space, and Splash. Those are the 3 we usually go for, too. I absolutely love Carousel of Progress!! It's a must for us every trip. Have fun!

I would definitely get a FP for 7DMT if at all possible. Also, if you think they might be interested in riding Peter Pan, I would get a FP for that too - both of those rides can have crazy wait times. I would schedule my FP's starting at about 9:45 - 10:00, and then as soon as you check in to your third fp ride, immediately get on the app and start looking for a fourth. Refreshing a few times can often pop up something good, but at the very least, you will be able to get fp's for things like It's a Small World, Buzz, Pirates, etc. We did this last summer at MK, and were able to ride so much. As soon as we tapped in for a ride, I got on the app and refreshed until I found something we wanted to ride, that was available within the next 30 min. This worked great for us!
