Our family of five is traveling to Disney in early February. We have two stays scheduled at HS, thinking we might spend one day almost exclusively at Galaxy's Edge. Our kids are 9, 6, and 1.

So here's are question: what should we do with our time?

We want to hit the following things for sure:
  1. Rise of the Resistance (no LL)
  2. Millenium Falcon (with Genie +)
  3. Docking Bay 7
  4. Oga's Cantina (at what time should we schedule a reservation?)
But here are the caveats:
  1. We don't want to wait for an hour before rope drop outside the park
  2. My wife and 1 year old will have to leave mid-day for a nap
Will getting breakfast reservations at Hollywood & Vine help get us in the park earlier?

I know these are huge questions, but I appreciate your all's advice.

1. Unlikely that you'd really need a full day in that one section. (That's an individual choice.)
2. Even if it did, any "extra time" would likely be rendered moot if you plan on actually eating breakfast there.

true, but we will probably spend a lot of time swimming. When would you do everything? What time is the best to ride RoR?

Will you be staying on-site at a Disney resort? If so, with kids that young, I'm not sure I'd trying ROTR any way other than ILL. The standby lines are likely to be very long all day. If you're a resort guest, you'll get the chance to do ILL right at 7AM, which might be the only chance you'll have for a reasonable wait at Rise.

even in Feb? So we have to pay extra really just to not wait over an hour?

Does your wife want to join you for Oga's? If so, I would do it in the morning when you know the baby will be awake. Or schedule it in the evening to try to ensure she can get back to the park after the baby's nap - just be prepared for nap times to be thrown off. When my DS was that age at WDW, he would fall asleep early or take really long naps in WDW. I would recommend trying to purchase ILL for RoTR so you aren't waiting hours in that standby line. If you are doing DHS for two days, maybe consider purchasing Genie+ on one day and doing Millennium Falcon then and ILL for RoTR the next day - I feel like purchasing Genie+ for a day just to ride Millennium Falcon is kind of a waste.

Yes. You might need to pay extra just to not wait over 2 hours. Also, keep in mind, there is a height restriction to ride, so not all of your kids will be joining you. I think it's 40", but you might want to verify.

Your best time to ride either ride with minimal wait time and without ILL is going to be at park close. When we were there at the end of September we got in line for ROTR around 8:15pm and then ran over to Smugglers Run right after we got off. We got in right before they shut down the queue.

You could probably get on Smugglers Run on a 45 minute wait during the day. Not a bad wait if you plan on spending the whole day at GE. With that, I would skip the Genie + and use that money for the ILL for ROTR if you are not able to stay until close.

For Oga’s it’s going to be hard to plan a time…we were able to book at 60+4 and there were two times open. 60 days out there was nothing. A reservation finder may help you get a general time you want.

Thank you, all. We will do the LL. That helps so much.
If you could choose, would you do the cantina before or after lunch?

We personally went to after, as that’s a busier time in the park…I wanted to leave the morning free for rides, but we also don’t have nap time to contend with.
