One day at Disneyland- where should I have lunch?

My husband and I will be visiting Disneyland next Sunday (Dec.11th). It is a VERY last minute trip and we will have only one day to visit both parks.

I already ordered World of Color picnics for the evening but now I was wondering what is the MUST DO counter service in Disneyland. We will not be doing a sit down because we want to eat quickly and keep moving.

So... where should we eat and what should we order?

I liked the Hungry Bear's Fried Green Tomato sandwich (certainly it's something different!) but if I had it to do again I think I'd try Rancho del Zocalo. (They get mostly positive reviews and their salad sounds really good.)

Though if the line is short it's even quicker to eat at the Bengal Barbeque...your food comes on a stick for maximum mobility!

Don't know for sure, but I doubt it. You can get the beignets at the Mint Julep bar but without the raspberry coulis and creme anglaise.

I know you said you don't want to do a sit-down meal, but I highly recommend Carnation Cafe. Their loaded baked potato soup is my absolute favorite food item in DLR. Plus, it's the perfect weather for soup! Get a bowl and I promise you won't be disappointed!

Sometimes my boys just make a meal of that sourdough with butter. You can get a bread bowl with soup or salad in it there too. If you don't want your bread bowl all soppy, just ask for your soup to be put in a cup and the bread kept separate. The CMs are happy to oblige.

Pasta and flatbreads at the new Boardwalk pizza and pasta place at the back of DCA.

Chicken fusilli at Pizza Port in Tomorrowland.

I forgot to mention that. It's definitely true. If you can't get a PS for a decent time, I recommend a corn dog or the chicken fusilli. Also, I've heard great things about Bengal Barbecue, although I haven't tried it yet. We're going to try it on our next trip. The bacon-wrapped asparagus (safari skewer) looks delicious. Plus, it's perfect on-the-go food!

Corn Dog!!! There is the Little Red Wagon in DL or Corn Dog place in DCA. If you were wanting to sit down for a break I would give Cafe Orlenes a try. Monte Cristo and Pomme Frites split between you and your husband.

One of our new favorites is Paradise Garden Grill. (http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disneys-california-adventure/paradise-garden-grill/)

It's Mediterranean menu is delicious and all the food is fresh! (and they also serve beer here.)

For $9.99, you choose your meat (steak, chicken, ground beef kefta, or tofu) and sauce (curry, chimichurri, tzatziki, etc). Then you get a side of rice pilaf and cucumber salad.

For the price, it's a huge plate- which I find to be rare at the Disneyland Resort.

It's right behind Goofy's Sky School (formerly Mulholland Madness), next to/to the right of the Boardwalk Pizza place (formerly Pizza Om Mow Mow). (near the bathrooms, behind the live music bands)

As for the beignets, you can get a bag of just the pastries (no sauce) from the Mint Julep bar right next to the restaurant. Bags come in portions of 3 or 6. They are topped with powdered sugar.
