My pay in full date is Feb 7. I bought trip insurance from Disney. Currently my 2 adult daughters are booked in one room. One of them has had some changes at work and is not sure she can get the time off to go.

So now what?

Do I cancel her spot and just pay the single occupancy rate for that room? or go ahead and pay in full for 2 people just in case it works out for her.... but if it doesnt how does the trip insurance work?

If you cancel her, you're still going to be paying for 2 people in that room. The "single occupancy" rate is what the room costs for 2 people. But only one set of port fees and taxes. I'd just leave it as it is, and have her be a no-show on embarkation day if she can't make it. That way, you'd get back the port fees & taxes on her fare (but forfeit her fare.

Thanks. That is what I think I will do. A lot of things can change for a 20 yo in 90days. And she might be able to work it out closer to time.

Shmoo, what would happen if I cancelled one adult in stateroom A and transfered 1 kid from stateroom B to stateroom A before the paid in full date? Is there a penalty? I know I wouldnt be able to add my one adult back in if her plans changed but I thought I would look at another scenario. Just running the numbers, if I originally booked it that way compared to what I have currently booked, its $1184 less but if there is a penalty it might not make much difference. Just curious.

Before the Paid in Full date, you can make whatever changes you wish. Just be aware that the child will be paying adult prices (first two people in each room are charged adult prices).

Found a partial answer in another thread.

Sorry, I was out of town today, just saw this.
